My grandfather passed away this year, and I spent my birthday at his funeral. He was a World War II veteran... yet another one, who has passed away without a memorial from the country he served thanking him. This greatly disturbs me. I think Tom Hanks said it best in a recent commercial, "It is time... to say thank you."
