Political Pushover is a ska/punk band from Utah. Our influences are AAA, OPIV, Rancid, The Unseen, The Pinkerton Thugs, Plan A Project, Choking Victim, & pretty much any fast paced political band around! It was started by Brandon Rocque and Cody Clark(shorty)in the summer of 1998, We recruited Rob Jolley to play Guitar, and our friend to play 2nd guitar. They found us a drummer, and a bassist. As a six piece, we played two shows and then we broke up in february of 1999. Then in March, Brandon, shorty, and Rob started it back up again, and recruited Greg, to be our Bassist. We worked on new songs and started looking for a new drummer. We had several people play drums for us off and on, but none of them seemed to work out. With our drummer Chris we played a show at an old theater in a Spanish Fork. We had quite an enterage of quests there our close friends, the other bands, and four or five hicks. Awesome! In september of 1999 we recruited our fourth drumme, Ben who has proved to be very promising and we started playing shows again. Greg played in a band called Common Sense,(they played w/ us at our first show) and he is an amazing bassist. He also plays in a band called Girlscout Dropouts, with our former druumer Chris, we're friends with all the members of their band and maybe we'll play a show together in the future. Since then we've played a few shows here and their, We are getting ready to record our first full length album entiitled "Welcome To The Revolution," we hope to have it out by winter 2000, in the meantime look for us on comps around your area, we'll try to get on as many as we can. We Hope to have a few Mp3's from that album available in the next month or so(sept. 2000), thats pretty much it for now, political as fuck and ready to attack the world!
