Three appearances in NYC! Pharoah Sanders & Ravi Coltrane on saxes, Paul Shaffer on keyboards, Don Pate on bass, Rashied Ali on drums and Tisziji Munoz on lead guitar! This incredible line-up will perform at Carnegie Hall on June 6th as part of Steinway's Jazz Celebration and will be on the David Letterman Show later that same night!! This amazing band will also play on Tuesday June 10th at the Village Underground (130 W. 3rd St.) at 8:30 for one cosmic set. Tickets are now on sale.

West Coast Saxophone Summit The Creator has a master plan. Saxophone legend Pharoah Saunders joins Karl Denson's Tiny Universe for all three shows at the Fillmore in San Francisco on March 27, 28 & 29 for the West Coast Saxophone Summit. Pharaoh will be joined by master percussionist Babatunde Lea and perform the opening set each evening. Also added to the shows is turntable wizard DJ Greyboy. All acts will be performing alone and together. A limited number of tickets are onsale now through www.karldenson.com. All remaining tickets will be available through all Ticketmaster outlets, as well as the Fillmore box office ( located at 1805 Geary street) with no service charge on all show nights and Sundays from 10am to 4pm.

PHILADELPHIA, PA, JULY 8, 2002 � The city of Philadelphia will celebrate local Jazz legend McCoy Tyner and Jazz mates Oscar Peterson, Horace Silver, Kenny Barron, Keter Betts, James Moody, Pharoah Sanders, Arturo Sandoval, Hank Jones, Louis Hayes, Donald Byrd, Terence Blanchard, Celia Cruz, Barry Harris, Yusef Lateef, Ray Brown, Roy Ayers, Cedar Walton, Gary Bartz, Marcus Belgrave, Lonnie Smith, Bennie Maupin, Pat Martino, Steve Turre, Ron Carter, Joey DeFrancesco, Robin Eubanks, Richie Cole, Randy Weston, Trudy Pitts, Ron Mathews, Dick Griffin, Wendell Harrison, Doug Carn, Freddie Hubbard, Paquito D'Rivera, Carmen Lundy, Rene Marie, Jean Carne, Papo Vazquez, Bernard Linnette Sextet, Peter Washington, Francios Bourassa Trio & Andre Leroux , Billy Bang, Joe Ford and more. This special presentation and more will take place during the weeklong musical celebration in Philadelphia. Jazz legend Oscar Peterson will be on hand to receive the Norman Granz Humanity of Arts award, with awardees Horace Silver, Hank Jones receiving a Congressional Lifetime Achievement award.

Tyner Time In Philly�s celebration is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Jazz music and the legends that make up the history of Jazz. The event will recognize these artists who has spent a lifetime excelling and advancing this art-form, and having committed their lives to Jazz music and its heritage.

�We are extremely pleased to have the opportunity to award these great legends in a very special way ", stated Melanie Williams, Executive Producer of Tyner Time In Philly; �with the assistance of the City of Philadelphia, all our musical legends appearing this entire week, this historical event would not be possible, everyone have been so supportive in this venture. �The Tyner Time In Philly Celebration is a further recognition of our commitment in recognizing many other great legends and jazz artists who have given so much to music history within their Lifetime.
