Jason Voorhees takes his mother's murderous place in the second installment of the series. After killing off the only survivor of the first movie, Jason returns to the hunting grounds of Camp Crystal Lake where he starts bumping off teens at a counselor training center.

Director Steve Miner (H20, House, Soul Man) takes over for Sean Cunningham, but goes slightly overboard in his attempt to emulate the style of Alfred Hitchcock. In addition, the dream sequence at the end of the movie leaves everyone confused.
