Filmed during the brief revival of 3-D, the third installment in the series offers some interesting visual FX, most memorable of which is a scene where a victim's eye pops out of his head and flies into the audience. Unfortunately, the film offers little in way of new plot twists.
Picking up where the previous film ended, Part 3 has Jason stalking vacationing teens at a cabin by the lake. A group of malicious bikers try to get into the act, but Jason doesn't let anybody invade his territory. All in all, just an average entry in the series.
One thing to note though, this is the first film where Jason wears his trademark hockey mask. You can blame this film for that one piece of the legend that never seems to go away.
