Poems
How could things go on when the world has come to an end? How could I go on in this void? How could one person, not very big, leave an emptyness that was galaxy-wide?! To All Parents "I'll lend you for a little time a child of Mine," He said, "For you to love the while she lives and mourn for when she's dead. It may be six or seven years, or even twenty-two or three, But will you, till I call her back, take care of her for me? She'll bring her charms to gladden you, and should her stay be brief, You'll have her lovely memories as solace for your grief. I cannot promise she will stay, since all from earth return, But there are lessons taught down there I want this child to learn, I've looked the wide world over in My search for teachers true, And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes I have selected you. Now will you give her all your love, nor think the labor vain, Nor hate Me when I come to call to take her back again?" I fancied that I heard them say, "Dear Lord, thy will be done! For all the joy thy child shall bring, the risk of grief we'll run. We'll shelter her with tenderness, we'll love her while we may, And for the happiness we've known, forever grateful stay; But should the angels call for her much sooner than we've planned, We'll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand." By:Edgar A Guest Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted" Matthew 5:5 Fly Fly, fly little wing Fly beyond imagining The softest cloud, the whitest dove Upon the wind of heaven's door Past the planets and the stars Leave this lonely world or ours Escape the sorrow and the pain And fly again Fly, fly precious one Your endless journey has begun Take your gentle happiness Far too beautiful for this Cross over to the other shore There is peace forevermore But hold this memory bittersweet Until we meet Fly, fly do not fear Don't waste a breath, don't shed a tear Your heart is pure, your soul is free Be on your way, don't wait for me Above the universe you'll climb On beyond the hands of time The moon will rise, the sun will set But I won't forget Fly, fly little wing Fly where only angels sing Fly away, the time is right Go now, find the light Celine Dion-Falling into You But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a child will never enter it." Luke 18:16&17 Angel of God Angel of God my guardian dear to whom God's love commits me here; ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen Little Angels When God calls little children to dwell with Him above, We mortals sometimes question the wisdom of His love. For no heartache compares with the death of one small child who does so much to make our world seem wonderful and mild. Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to His fold so he picks a rosebud before it can grow old. God knows how much we need them and so he takes but a few to make the land of Heaven more beautiful to view. Believing this is difficult still some how we must try. The saddest word mankind knows will always be "Goodbye." So when a little child departs we who are left behind must realize God loves children Angels are hard to find. I will not forget you... I have carved you on the palm of my hand Isaiah 49:16 Her Journey's Just Begun Don't think of her as gone away.. her journey's just begun, life holds so many facets.. this earth is only one.. Just think of her as resting from the sorrow and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days or years. Think how she must be wishing that we could know today how nothing but saddness can really pass away. And think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched.. for nothing loved is ever lost.. and she was loved so much. By:E.
