You answered YES!   The Bible does say that we can KNOW that we have eternal life.

1 John 5:13 - "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life."

Suppose you were to die tonight and stand before God... What would you say if He asked you "Why should I let you into my heaven?"

• I'm without fault. I deserve to go to heaven.

• I've been nearly perfect. God will overlook the few mistakes in my life.

• I've always been very good. I try to follow the Ten Commandments.

• I haven't really been that bad. I never hurt anyone and God will overlook the things I've done wrong because he's a loving God.

• I cannot enter heaven on my own merit.

• I don't know what I would say.
