Our
"Doggie Page"
Here are some pictures and information about our two dogs. One is no longer with us. They are Shelties (Shetland Sheepdogs).
Shelties are a herder breed and are a very popular choice for a pet.
They love outdoors but mainly are inside dogs. They are good with children, very very smart, and are faithful companions.
They do require a lot of attention and grooming. They do have a tendency to bark a lot. However, this can be controlled
with proper training.
A Sheltie is our choice for the best breed for a house pet, companion, and best friend!!
This is Oscar. His full name is "Oscar Would Be Trouble". He is eight years old and has been a part of our family
since his was 12 weeks old.
He is a wonderful dog. He is extremely intelligent but also sensitive. He loves to run and play outside.
If we'd let him, he would be outside ALL day long.
He misses his buddy Shadow (our other dog which we had to put to sleep). One of our
favorite things to do is to spoil Oscar. Oscar has spoiled us too. It is wonderful having such
a loving dog as a part of our family.

Shadow was the newest part of our family. His full name was "Shadow Would Be Trouble Too".
He only lived to about 1-1/2 years old. He enjoyed being outside too. He also enjoyed giving Oscar trouble.
He was on the large side for a Sheltie, but had some beautiful markings. He was a wonderful addition to the family even though he was only with us
for a short while.
He suffered from seizures. It started when he was about 1 year old. We had to take him to the emergency clinic several times.
They put him on medicine -- the strongest medicine available for his size. It seemed to lessen the severity of the seizures,
the length, and how often he had them.
Then one day, he suffered a seizure that lasted well over 2 1/2 hours. It was then that we decided not to let him suffer any longer.
So we put him to sleep. It was one of the toughest decisions we have ever made. We miss him very much! But we know he
is in a much better place.
