Hyacinth

Hyacinth was Apollo's dearest companion. They were very good friends. They had a contest on who could throw the discus farther. Apollo went first and when he did throw the discus, the discus hit Hyacinth right in the forehead. Apollo came in shock and tried saving the life of Hyacinth. It was no use. Hyacinth's head had fallen back just like when the flower's stem is broken. Where Hyacinth died, there was a flower blooming that was to make the name Hyacinth known forever.
