You walk through a large marble archway and find yourself in an open courtyard. There is a small path made of stone that seems to snake its way all through the area. Trees and flowers grow all around you, and you can see a multitude of creatures enjoying the sunlight that streams down from the clear blue sky. Your guide speaks to you:
"This is the Menagerie. Each of the creatures you see here was adopted from all around the Net. Let me introduce you."
This is D'Shen. She's a Pegasus, and she came from Omega's Pegasus Adoptions. D'Shen has a bit of a wild streak, but she's very gentle. She's still a baby really, and the youngest of my adoptees. Her favorite past-times are exploring and and playing with her cyber-friends. She's very curious, so don't be surprised if she comes over to investigate you.
Don't worry about my dragon. Sheena won't bite. She acts tough, but she's really just a big sweetheart. She is the unofficial bodyguard of my other pets, and she tends to be especially protective of Betsy. Sheena is the oldest of my pets, and the wisest. In spite of her tough-gal attitude, she's very intelligent, and spends much of her time immersed in classic literature, such as her favorite, Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream". She was adopted from The Fire Ring Dragon Adoption.
Shhh...Besty is very shy, and easily startled. She's a Woobie Frog from Woobie World. Betsy loves her friends, and is very close to Sheena. I think she looks to Sheena as a big sister. Betsy is a hopeless romantic, and she adores "The Phantom of the Opera", Although, she once told me that she wished that Christine had stayed with Erik. I agree.
This is Whimsy. She's a Flutterbye from my own Nursery. My Nursery isn't around anymore because all of the babies found good homes. Whimsy is very gifted when it comes to music, and she has a beautiful voice. She is very creative, and a natural-born story teller. She loves to join D'Shen in exploring, and always brings back vivid tales of their adventures.
Here's Lex, my hansome fire-lizard. Isn't he cute? Lex was adopted from the Taris Weyr Adopt a Fire-Lizard Page. Lex is the only boy around here right now, but I don't think he minds. He's a trickster, and he's always getting into trouble. He loves practical jokes, so watch out. Don't worry too much, though. He a real sweetie when he wants to be, and we love him.
