In a lonely moment,
Missing you.
My heart aches so
I can barely breathe.
Hunger for love
Led me to you.
Soul to soul we met,
And I have no regrets.
Love sparkles and shines,
Like the diamond,
In my ring...
Like your smile.
Love has taught me much,
Joy and duty and singing
In harmony.
And fear.
In a lonely moment,
Missing you,
My heart aches so
I can barely breathe.
A baby's cheek,
So soft and sweet,
My reverent finger,
Brushes it lightly.
She sleeps...long lashes,
Resting on her soft cheek.
I hold my breath in wonderment,
Watching her tiny movements.
She sighs and half smiles.
My heart quivers with joy.
Oh, my sweet girl,
How I wish you were here.

Dreaming of a place,
Where all are as one,
Each cobblestone cries with joy,
At the diversity of life.
Dreaming of a reality,
Where love it the ruler,
That all are judged by,
And gold is a pretty color.
Dreaming of a time,
When dreams come true,
Peace and harmony reign,
And the moon smiles.
A floating sensation...
I get the taste of,
Cotton candy in my mouth,
When I think of peace.
So light does it feel,
Not heavy, not dark.
I could fly,
To the moon.
I hear Christmas bells,
And reverent voices,
Lifted towards the sky,
Singing for pure joy.
I feel all these things,
This floating sensation,
And cannot understand,
War.
Today, a rainy day,
He brought me a sunflower.
I made him chili,
Excellent comfort food.
Last week, I danced like a fool.
He laughed and hugged me,
Overcome with love.
The feeling was mutual.
Last night I slipped into bed,
Folding myself around his warm body,
Placed a tender kiss on his shoulder,
And he slept on and I smiled.
Tomorrow I'll look into his eyes,
And my breath will stop,
And we'll kiss and sigh,
He'll shiver and hold me.
And next week, perhaps,
He'll sing sweetly to me,
After we've made love,
And my heart and voice will join in.
And next year we'll wonder,
Where all the time went to,
But we'll be smiling, and maybe,
He'll bring me a daisy.
Gracie's grin,
Sosa's smile,
Cracking bats,
Balls flying miles...
Beer and hot dogs,
Screaming fans,
Standing on base,
Lance with humor plans...
Ivy, the last outfielder,
Performing many saves,
Running across home plate,
Henry laughs and waves...
Umps grunting strike,
Sharp pitcher's eyes,
Lightening fast arms,
Win many a prize...
Glove held aloft,
Mickey's catch is gold,
Gaetti's greatness,
A wonder to behold...
Leaping, throwing shortstops,
Catching, hitting heroes,
Each and every noble man,
Smiles as big as rainbows...
Throwing out a runner,
Catchers beam with pleasure,
Steady Riggleman,
Strength under pressure...
Harry's holy cow,
Jack's hey hey,
Hearts worn on sleeves,
Oh what a day...
Strong as a team,
No matter the score,
Losing with honor,
Winning spirits soar...
Wrigley Field,
Grass defining green,
Cub's baseball,
Best I've ever seen!
