GRATITUDE~
Although
the life that I now live
Holds days
of desolation
I am blessed
to sense, the hand of God
Touch my heart
in consolation
Be it a hug
from a loved one,
Or just a
look that says, "I understand"
A kind word
from a stranger
A friend holding
out their hand
The sweet aroma
of fresh falling rain
The petal
of a rose against my cheek
Gentle breezes,
helping to sustain
With these
gifts, my heart He speaks.
Random moments,
tucked into my day
Helping me
to be aware
Of God’s continuing
display of love
Heartfelt
gratitude, my daily prayer
When all seems
at its darkest
My way it
seems I’ll never find
I rest in
the blessed assurance
He walks beside
me, His hand in mine.

There are
times, when everything we based our lives on, feels as if it never
was. Our faith is shaken, we feel abandoned and alone. This part of the
journey devastated me. Most days it still does.
Nothing in
life is random, all those that come into our lives are there for a reason,
or a season, or a lifetime. So though my heart is filled with sorrow,
it is also filled with gratitude, to all of those precious people who
reached out,
and held me with their prayers, love, and kindness.
Whether they
remain with me, or leave their gift in my heart, and go on, I will be forever
grateful to them and to God, for placing them in my life. God bless.
