"A Not so Crystal Clear Destiny"
What if Sailor Moon had been kidnapped and brain washed by the Negaverse instead of Tuxedo Mask? What would Darien have done? Who would take over as the leader of the Sailor Scouts? How would Serena's family and other friends react to her disappearance? These are just a few of the questions that I intend to answer in this story of what if.

Selenite and Malachite were awakened by Queen Beryl summoning them. Selenite was pleasantly surprised to find that Malachite had stayed by her side all night. She grabbed a fresh uniform and raced behind the changing screen. "Did you sleep well, Malachite," she asked as she tugged on her clothes.
"Yes, just fine." He straightened out his slept in uniform, "It's a good thing that I have wrinkle-proof uniforms," he thought to himself with a smirk.
"What's so funny," Selenite asked when she emerged from behind the screen.
"Oh, nothing," he said finishing his adjustments. After he was finished he looked up at Selenite; an instaneous sweat drop appeared on his forehead whenhe saw Selenite striking a pose wearing one of his capes.
"Well, what do you think?"
"Um...it...uh...looks...fine," Malachite said in disbelief, all the while hoping that she wouldn't trip over it in front of Queen Beryl.
"You ready," Malachite asked as he walked over to Selenite.
"Yep!"
"Then we're outta here," he put one arm around Selenite's waist and teleported them to Queen Beryl's throne room.
"It's about time you two appeared," Queen Beryl said impatiently, "I have another mission for you, this time do not fail!...."

"What a gorgeous day," Mina exclaimed, laying down on the large blanket spread on the ground.
"Sure is," Lita agreed with her. "I'm glad that we planned this picnic, it's just what the doctor ordered!"
Rei was sitting on a swing next to Ami, "What are you dong, Ami?"
Ami stopped plugging away on her mini data computer for a moment, "I'm cataloging the differences between Selenite and Serena. It might give us a clue as to how to unbrainwash her."
"Cool idea, Ames," Lita gave her a thumb's up.
The girls soon became lost int their own daydreams, not paying attention to anything going on. Their thoughts were soon disrupted, however, by a familiar voice.
"Hey meatball-head!"
They all looked up in disbelief, "Darien?"
Luna then stepped out from behind him, "Hello girls, don't worry about Darien, I filled him in on everything and he's going to help.
Their get-together was cut short by the shrill sound of screaming.
"The Negaverse is at it again," Artemis yelled while running towards them.
"When did you wander off, Artemis," Mina asked.
"When you guys went off to ''La-la Land, now transform!"
"Venus Power!"
"Mercury Power!"
"Mars Power!"
"Jupiter Power!"
Darien reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out his transformational rose. With a flick of the wrist his transformation began.
"Let's get to it, Scouts," Venus shouted.
"Right!" the others answered.
They took off running in the direction that they heard the screams. A few feet ahead they saw the monster draining the energy from a few little kids.
Tuxedo Mask pulled out a rose from his cape and threw it into the face of the monster.
"How dare you attack little children while they play! I, Tuxedo Mask, will not allow it."
The monster threw the kids at the Scouts and knocked Jupiter and Mars down.
"Mercury Bubbles Blast!" A dense fog settled around the monster, which gave Mars and Jupiter a chance to put the kids safely aside and rejoin the battle.
"Venus Crescent Beam..."
"Mars Fire..."
"Smash!"
"Ignite!"
Mars' attack coiled around Venus beam, hitting the monster between the eyes, destroying it.
"Smooth move, Sailor Brats," an all too familiar voice came from a tree.
"Serena," Tuxedo called out to her.
"You must have me mistaken for someone else," Selenite said as she sat on a tree branch. "A couple of you already know who I am, but for the others, allow me to introduce myself. I am Selenite, champion of the Negaverse. So on behalf of Queen Beryl, hand over the Silver Crystal or I will destroy you," she went to leap down from her limb, but her cape caught on the branch; leaving her swinging on the wind.
Malachite stepped out from behind the tree with a huge sweatdrop on his head, "I knew the cape was a bad idea."
The Scouts just stared at them in amazement, or more likely shick.
Malachite made a move toward Selenite to help her down, but was stopped by a red rose.
"Do you want to start something Capeboy?"
Tuxedo charged at Malachite with his cane. He easily dodged Tuxedo's move. Soon the two of them were darting all over the park fighting.
"That makes it our turn," Jupiter snapped out of her trance like state.
"Say buh-bye to the Negaverse, Selenite, we want Serena back," Venus pulled out the Crescent Moon wand. "Venus Moon Healing Activation!"
"What are you doing? Stop it! NO! What are all these visions?" Selenite passes out from the shock of all of her memories flooding back. A light engulfs her as the Negaverse uniform was replaced by her school uniform.
"We did it, we got our Serena back!" But their party was cut short as a dark shadow passed over Serena, taking her back to the Negaverse.

On the other side of the park Tuxedo and Malachite were still fighting.
"Sorry to end our fight so soon, but my Queen and Princess need me back at home. We'll finish this later, capeboy," Malachite said as he vanished.
"Malachite," Tuxedo screamed in frustration, "You will pay!"

Whew, what a fight! There's no love loss between Tux & Malis there? And what about Serena? The Scouts had her back for a second. Keep your eyes peeled for Part 15, it could come at anytime. I know what you're thinking, it took me forever to get this part done, but hey, school's back in meaning I'll be bored more often & in the mood to write. ^_~ **tee**
