"A Not so Crystal Clear Destiny"

What if Sailor Moon had been kidnapped and brain washed by the Negaverse instead of Tuxedo Mask? What would Darien have done? Who would take over as the leader of the Sailor Scouts? How would Serena's family and other friends react to her disappearance? These are just a few of the questions that I intend to answer in this story of what if.

After the fight the Scouts met back at Rei's house. They sat quietly for some time, which, for the most part, resulted from the disappointment of getting Serena back only to lose her again. Darien, who was taking it harder than the others, sat in a dark corner starring into space.

"That blasted Beryl," Lita erupted, breaking the silence, "How could she? No, how DID she?"

"I don't know," Ami replied, "It all happened too quickly. I couldn't even get a reading on it."

Silence once more. Darien broke it. "I'm going home. You girls know where to find me if you need me," he said as he left.

Back at his apartment Darien sank into his couch; exhausted. Suddenly his television began to flicker and the image of Malachite appeared. "Hello, Darien," he said vindictively.

Darien inhaled deeply and then released his breath. "You guys really need to stop messing with my T.V, you're screwing up the reception. Do you hav any idea how hard it was to explain what happened the first time to the repairman?"

"Well, excuse me," Malachite said sarcastically.

"What do you want now," Darien snapped.

"Want? Come now, Darien, I'm offended. I just thought you'd like to know Selenite's condition since the battle."

"Her name is Serena," Darien growled.

"Not anymore," Malachite replied with a smug expression. He could see Darien becoming furious and was loving every moment of torturing him. "But seriously, she's not doing so well. The last battle took quite a bit out of her."

"Why are you telling me all this," Darien asked growing suspicious.

"Because, sadly, you and your annoying little girlfriends are probably the only people who can help her. We have reason to believe that the Imperium Silver Crystal may be the only thing that can save her."

"I see, and you expect me to take the crystal from the Scouts and give it to you? I don't think so." Darien's steely eyes set deffiently on the televison screen.

"No, of course not. Tell the Scouts of Selenite's condition and bring them to the park. They can heal her.

"I'll talk it over with them, but it's their choice."

"I completely understand. In either case, I'll be waiting in the park by the clock at midnight. I hope to see you there tomorrow." The screen flickered and went black once more.

This was originally only half of Part 15, but I decided to split it up, so Part 16 is not very far away this time, I promise! ^_^ See you!
