It's finally here! The biggest game in Canadian football. I'm quite sure many fans, especially from Calgary,
were very dissapointed when the Stamps missed out on the oppertunity to defeat the Als
at home, in the Grey Cup. Even I was shocked at the big upset last Sunday afternoon. Still, there is no
reason not to expect some amazing football this coming Sunday as the B.C. Lions advance to the big game against Montreal. B.C. is, without a doubt,
just as talented and experienced as the Stamps were. Unfortunately, the Lions were unable to display most of that
talent till the very end of the season, if then. This years Grey Cup will truely be a test for both the Als and the Lions. Ever since the
Als moved to Canada from Baltimore, they have been unable to reach the big game, even though they have been one of the top teams ever since. I
believe that the majority of CFL fans would want B.C. to come away with the victory. Wouldn't it be a nice parting gift for Lui Passaglia? And how much
do you think Damon Allen wants that ring? It's going to be a great game. Both teams want it, but only one will get it. My guess is Montreal. But only
because they have the greatest running game in football. Should we honestly expect that Mike Pringle is going to let this one go?
The Right Team

I am overjoyed that the right team will finally be representing the East in
this year's Grey Cup. Sitting in the South side stands in Molson Stadium on
Sunday afternoon, I felt pretty sick after Winnipeg gained a well earned
13-0 lead.
The team that was considered a shoo-in for another East Final birth is
now unsure of its playoff future.Last year's Grey Cup champions, the
Hamilton
Tiger-Cats, suffered their fourth straight defeat, 27-24, to division
rivals
Winnipeg on October 20 and are now in a tug of war for the remaining
playoff
spots with Winnipeg, Toronto and a potential Western division
cross-over.
CFL great Doug Flutie was selected as the CFL's Most Outstanding Player in 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1996, and 1997. That is 6 times within 7 years. An amazing accomplishment that will always be looked on with great respect.
