Fugail da, mae'r defaid eraill Eto ‘mhell o'r gorlan glyd, Crwydro'n glwyfus ar ddisberod Maent yn nrysni'r tywyll fyd: Danfon allan dy fugeiliaid, Â'u calonnau yn y gwaith, Er mwyn cyrchu'r rhai crwydredig O bellterau'r anial maith. Hiraeth cyrchu'r defaid eraill Ynom ninnau elo'n fwy; Dylanwadau d'Ysbryd gerddo Ymhob eglwys drostynt hwy: Yma, yn ein gwlad ein hunain, Gwna ni'n llais dy gariad di, A sŵn achub myrdd myrddiynau Fyddo draw dros donnau'r lli. Maent i ddod, medd addewidion, O bob ardal dan y nen; Dwedaist tithau, "Rhaid eu cyrchu," Trengaist drostynt ar y pren. O er mwyn yr einioes roddwyd Ac er mwyn yr eiriol drud, Dwg i mewn y defaid eraill, Fugail da, i'th gorlan glyd.Howell Elvet Lewis (Elfed) 1860-1953 Telyn y Cristion 1902 Tôn [8787D]: Cynllwyd (T R Williams 1866-1922) |
Good Shepherd, the other sheep are Still far from the secure fold, Wandering wounded scattered They are in the dark world's confusion: Dend out thy shepherds, With their hearts in the work, In order to reach the wandering ones From the remoteness of the vast desert. May the longing to reach the other sheep Become greater in us too; May the influences of thy Spirit walk In every church for them: Here, in our own land, Make us the voice of thy love, And a sound to save a myriad myriads Be yonder across the waves of the tide. They are to come, say promises, From every region under the sky; Thou didst say, "They must be reached," Thou didst die for them on the tree. O for the sake of the life given And of the precious intercession, Bring in the other sheep, Good Shepherd, to thy secure fold.tr. 2024 Richard B Gillion |
