Delving too deeply can be dangerous.
I never escaped.

Enjoy your stay.

Yeah, well, apparently linkage is still beyond me. So here is a short blurb I did a while back when it was raining ... maybe soon I'll figure out how to link, and then I'll have more then one page! I can hardly imagine the w007n355!

The rain lightly pattered on the roof, hitting the shingles and running down the steep slope until it fell into the gutters and followed the drain to the ground. Standing before the window, she looked out into the gray world. She loved the rain—loved the scent, the feel, the colors it turned her surroundings. She leaned forward and pushed the window up, until it stood fully open. Kneeling before it, she rested her arms on the windowsill. Pressing her forehead against the cool screen, breathing deeply the scents of water and earth, she slowly closed her eyes.

Feeling the stray droplets of rain caress her face as they found the open window, she kept her eyes shut and let the wanderers trickle their merry way across her forehead and cheeks. Sighing heavily, her breath misting in the cool air, the tension in her body ran away with the retreating water. Muscles unknotted, worry lines eased, and the hint of a smile began to play at the corners of her mouth.

Taking one last deep breath, she smoothly unfurled her body from its kneeling position and gradually drew her face away from the screen. The tiny mesh squares left indentations in her forehead as they reluctantly conceded their grasp on her skin, and she smiled to herself as the screen settled back to attention. Once again standing before the darkening window, she opened her eyes to observe the last remnants of the hidden sun sink behind the distant horizon. Left with only the blackening tempestuous sky and the roiling cumulous clouds, she closed her eyes once more and opened herself to her love of the rain.
