Well, even though Virgil Tracey was born on 15 August 1999, and Lady Penelope is not due to be born until 24 December 1999, the production of the Thunderbirds television series and feature films between 1964 and 1966 (using Supermarionation) actually pre-dates the creation of the David and Claudia characters, much more their courtship. This begs the question: was the Copperfield-Schiffer romance merely an attempt to capitalise on the amazing, longstanding popularity of the famous Thunderbirds? |
