Once again, I am perplexed
and my brain becomes fully flexed
No One follows the expected
only the inexplicable is detected
Everything was returning to a stable flow
now what's going on no one can know
How am I to respond
when they are quite fond
Of the things I abhore
from my very core
"Nothing will happen" I say
but the fear won't go away
How can the brains of those I care for most
be nothing but toast?
