The processing through immigration took so long I decided to take another trip to Manila so I could be with Rowena. This time my daughter Lindsay travelled with me. We flew via Japan which made it an educational trip for her.In this picture we see Lindsay and Rowena in Greenbelt Park in Makati City. We really enjoyed our three week stay but once again I had to say goodbye to Rowena. |

We were married on December 9th 1996, in the
Philippines; Rowena eventually
arrived in Saskatoon, Canada on the 3rd April 1998.
Here we are at Saskatoon Airport. There was still a
little snow on
the ground, which was quite a change from the tropical
temperatures which Rowena had left behind. Travelling
from the airport
across the wide open spaces of Saskatchewan, with
miles in between houses, was quite an experience for
her. |

Soon after Rowena's arrival we went to Toronto to introduce her to my eldest daughter Janine. In the Eaton's Center, Rowena and Lindsay pose with a cardboard member of the RCMP.We spent almost a week sightseeing, shopping, and eating great ethnic food. It's a great place to visit but we were happy to board the plane on our way back to Saskatchewan. |
