"This CD was recorded during
the last two months of 2001 with the help of my
good friend John Guadagni. The songs deal with
questions of the heart which we all deal with
during our short time on this planet. Virginia
was written about an experience in Kennebunk in
the Autumn of 2000. Barbwire, Weekend,
Tonight, and Everyday were
written about a woman that I knew in Rhode Island
in 2001. All Alone was written about a
relationship that seems like a life time ago. So
Deep was written about my father who died on
October 27, 2001."
"The recording was completed
on a Tascam 244 using CoolEdit 96 to produce
eight tracks from a four track. The instruments
used were a Guild G37BL acoustic guitar, a Fender
Stratocaster, a Tokai Fretless Bass, an Ibanez
Fretted Bass, and a hybrid assortment of acoustic
& electric drums. Don't attempt this feat
without a net, it's not for the those lacking
patience. All performances were live without the
use of midi sequencing."
All songs were produced,
recorded, and written by John Spreier. Acoustic
guitar, bass guitar, electric guitar, and vocals
by John Spreier.
Drums by John Guadagni. Beta Brunette is John
Guadagni and John Spreier.
