.The camera looks into a 3 inch glass prism. The mounting panel is located directly behind the leading edge slats on the Tristar. Field of view is adjusted to observe the action of wool tufts on the outboard side of the engine pylon and nacelle.

..The N-9 camera proved to be unreliable, so a larger Photosonics 16-1P camera was installed on the same panel.



..Using a telescope eyepiece diagonal mount with an AIPTEK Pencam, Oct 2002..

..Taking the mounting tubes off a normal 1-1/4" telescope diagonal to permit setting an AIPTEK pencam flat, looking forward. This reduces the frontal area of the installation by about a 1/2". The diagonal can be oriented to look forward, to the side, or aft,as fancy strikes.
