Worked in collaboration with some of Asia's most celebrated transmedia artists. |
Was
determined
to help bring greater artistic substance to
Philippine contemporary music, and was vehemently opposed to the
crass commercialism and gimmickry that dominated many sectors of the
music and entertainment industries.
Stubbornly (and proudly) maintained an "anti-showbiz" stance, declining to perform in clubs and nightspots, play-for-pay concerts, dance parties, promotional tours, and on television variety shows. Independently produced its second album "My Secret Identity", an experimental double-CD collection, released in January of 1998. Was the winner of the 1997 MTV / Philips Asian Band Search, an asia-wide competition where it bested other outstanding young bands from Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines, among other countries. Was
