(West Paterson, NJ)- Biggie Biggs managed to retain his IWF crown by turning away two different challengers at the Independent Wrestling Federation's "Summer Sizzler Weekend." The sold-out events were held Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28, 2002, at the IWF Centre, West Paterson, New Jersey.

Part one of "Summer Sizzler Weekend" on July 27 saw the announcement made that Mr. Mike Winner was suspended from the IWF for 30 days by Commissioner AJ Sparxx for his actions during the July 10th "Retribution" event. But Winner's absence did not deter his Winner's Circle stable of Roman and Hadrian from manufacturing mayhem throughout the weekend.

The weekend kicked off with Kevin Knight disposing of Pierce St. John after the "KnightFall" sky-high in the opening contest.

In a bout to determine the number one contender for an IWF Title match on July 28, Erik Andretti pinned "Debonair" Damian Adams after a top-rope reverse neckbreaker. The win put Andretti in line for a title match the next day.

Shane O'Brien pinned rival Shawn Donavan after outside interference by Pierce St. John. O'Brien and St. John made a statement against Donavan as the two look for a Tag Team Title rematch.

Former two-time IWF Champion Roman defeated Josh Daniels in a Submission Match after hitting two powerbombs, then applying Daniels' own "Vortex" cross arm-breaker, to which the powerhouse Daniels tapped out.

In a CAMP IWF six-man tag team match, Dante, Axis and Eloy Fiesta defeated Tommy Trouble, Dylan Black and Alicia.

In the main event, Biggie Biggs pinned Hadrian after the "BiggBang" choke-slam to retain the Heavyweight Title. After the referee was knocked down, Roman made his was to the ring and hit Biggs in the head with his steel chain. After an alternate referee made a three-count proclaiming Hadrian as the new champion, Kevin Knight came to ringside to point out the chain Roman left in the ring after hitting Biggs. The bout was re-started, and Biggs scored the win.

July 28 saw part two of "Summer Sizzler Weekend" at the IWF Centre, and IWF Tag Team Champions Shawn Donavan and Travis Blake settled the score against Pierce St. John and Shane O'Brien as they were victorious over the villainous duo.

The new number one contender Erik Andretti made his way to ringside for an interview, and talked about his upcoming title match against Biggie Biggs. As his turbo-mouth was taunting Biggs, he began insulting the wife of the champion, which led to Mrs. Biggs' slapping the cocky challenger. Biggs then charged into the arena and attacked Andretti, which led to a full-scale brawl. When finally separated, the show continued and Biggs' revenge would have to wait until the main event.

"Debonair" Damian Adams pinned CJ Summers after the "Bronx Bomb" frog-splash. After the bout, Summers' took out his frustrations by hitting Adams with a steel chair.

IWF American Champion Hadrian pinned former American Champion Josh Daniels to retain the title after the "Trident" full-nelson-slam. Daniels left the ring with an apparent chip on his shoulder angered over his recent losing streak.

Kevin Knight defeated Roman in a best two-out-of-three falls match. Knight won the first fall after a top-rope cross-body, Roman won the second fall after a powerbomb, then Knight won the third fall with a roll-up after Hadrian's interference on Roman's behalf backfired. After the bout, Hadrian began to berate Roman for the apparent miscommunication, but the brothers left the ring united.

In a tag team match, the unusual combination of BPA Barry and Frankie Finesse defeated CAMP IWF students Brandon Young and Shawn Moore.

And in the main event, IWF Heavyweight Champion Biggie Biggs made quick work of Erik Andretti after executing the "BiggBang" choke-slam to retain the title
