THE FLOWER

Tri Sigma's flower is the purple violet. Violets were taken from nearby woods for use in the ceremony held on April 20, 1898.

THE SAILBOAT

The sailboat represents forward motion to the sisters of Tri Sigma. The sailboat became an enduring Sigma symbol by way of Robbie Page.

THE JEWEL

Tri Sigma's jewel is the pearl. Pearls adorn the badge worn by initiated members. One of the many beautiful aspects of the pearl is that no two are exactly alike. The same can be said about the women of Tri Sigma. And as each pearl evolves from a grain of sand into a magnificent specimen, so do the women of Tri Sigma grow and become even better from their experiences with Tri Sigma.

THE MOTTO

Tri Sigma's open motto is "Faithful Unto Death." The graphic representation of this motto comes in the form of the skull and crossbones. It is also an integral part of the Tri Sigma badge.
