Title - "Metal Slug 3"
Alternative title(s) - N/A
Genre(s) - Shooter action
Platform(s) - Arcade, Neo-Geo home systems and Play Station 2
What can I say about 2000's "Metal Slug III"? Well, not much. It still has the same elements from past games. This time, there are multiple paths. You also get to shoot enemies in the air and water. You get new side weapons and spiffy vehicles. Can it get any better?
Fun - 10
You still have the goodness you see from past games. Yeah, the game is hard. If you have the PS2 port, you have extras to go along with it. I hate the final boss because it is too hard to kill. Other than that, there's not much to complain about.
Life - 10
With so many paths and such, there's no reason to set this game aside for a long time.
Control - 10
The control is still the same. There is a tutorial in the beginning if you don't know how the games work. Sure, you still can't shoot diagonally with your hand gun, but quit complaining already.
Audio - 10
The same announcer is there. The soldiers still have their seiy. I said enough here already.
Art - 10
Oh darn. I don't get to see another good shot of Eri and Fio here like I did in "X" (when you beat the game). Oh well. The art is still good as always.
Story - N/A
Want the story? Some alien group wants to make an army of clones. That's it in a nutshell. Yeah, we don't worry about story in shooters now, do we?
Overall - 10
Still tossing gum in the air and enjoying a sandwich at the same time private? The only soldiers who should be carrying those items are Eri and Fio! You on the other hand should be enjoying "Metal Slug III"!
+
It still has the same charm and spirit from the past games and you have new side weapons to help you out.
