"Farewell Yim Fong"

Mui Yim Fong, or Anita for many of you, died of cancer on Tuesday at 2:50 A.M. Hong Kong local time. Here's the article if you can read Chinese. Thanks go to davepy for reporting on this.

She was a good entertainer indeed. This now has made me a bit bitter during New Year's Day. Rest in peace.

"Del Ray Manga Section"

Del Ray's manga section is up. It shows the titles they will introduce during its launch, which will be in May. It also shows links to the titles they will launch.

Looks like I'm now forced to buy "Negima". I kid about that statement! Of course, I'll buy it, and yeah, Del Ray is that serious with the titles lined up for its introduction.

"Various Fan Game News"

Digital Hawk has a demo up of "Artemis Blade". It has characters from games like "Kanon" and "Tsuki Hime". It's just a simple fighter, a la "Street Fighter II".

Studio Siesta has placed up a holidays version of "Air Rade". Don't know if it's up still, but try anyway. If you don't know, it's a shooter with a touch of "Air".

Project YNP has placed up shots of "Cyber Formula SIN -Cyber Granprix-". As you guessed it, it's a racing game. To view the shots, go here.

Rapid Fire has a movie of "Guardian Heroines". Not much else can be said up to this point. Guide Ayu, Nayuki, Akiko and Mai through this action game. You can get the trailer here. Once you downloaded the file, install it to get the movie.

Here's the biggest news bit of them all. "Eternal Fighter Zero: Bad Moon Edition" has a new patch. Go get it at the Twilight Frontier site now.

Yay! I can play as Akiko obasan! Tee hee hee!

"'Metal Slug' Online"

This article states that Mega Enterprise has plans to develop an online Metal Slug game. There aren't any more details besides the ones stated here.

Source(s): Momo and Gpara

Just like Momo, I wonder how this will turn out to be.

"New Tokyo Pop Manga Series in June"

"Osaka Gig"

Hira Hira has a movie of "Kasuga Ayumu no Tsuuhan Seikatsu", their screen saver/game.

Source(s): Canned Dogs

I oh so want this!

"Kappa Breeding Game"

"Kappa no Kaikatta" (How to Breed Kappa), which is based on the manga of the same name, will be released by Konami, not Capcom as stated earlier, some time in the summer. This deals with the Japanese water demon. This does not deal with cucumbers.

Hey! They're right! Natsume or Seed 9 should pull a gig like this. Actually, Capcom could pull this off as well. As for the game itself, it could be interesting.

"'Rabbie' DVD"

The "Rabbie" DVD will be out on the 23rd of next month.

"'Clannad'" - This is for those 18 and up only.

Tech Gian, in which the site is not safe for work, had a movie of "Clannad" recently. Not much else can be said up to this point.

"'Negima' Event"

There will be an event in April that will show a short anime of "Negima", Akamatsu Ken's latest manga. Negima will be played by Satou Rina and the rest of the cast can be found here. If it turns out to be a hit, there will be a television series.

Source(s): Momo and Moon Phase

As much as I like Akamatsu Ken-sensei, this can go 50/50, though with Yui-sama, that should increase its chances.

"'Guardian Heroines'"

Rapid Fire has brought out a demo of their djin multi-genre game, "Guardian Heroines".

Source(s): Canned Dogs

"New 'Comic Party' OVA series"

It's old news, but if you don't know by now, there will be a new "Comic Party" OVA series called "Comic Party Revolution". The first OVA will be out at the end of the month most likely and the second one comes out in March. There's no indication on how many OVAs will be in this series, but it's a possibility that these two are it. Adding on, there's new art as well. The first episode focuses on the DC version exclusive character, Mikage Subaru, while the second episode focuses on ba Eimi.

The new art is not as good as the old one, but it's okay and I'll watch the series anyway.

"'To Heart 2'"

Leaf's upcoming attractive visual novel, "To Heart II", has been delayed. Instead of the upcoming spring season, it'll be out in the upcoming summer season. Up to this point, it has only been announced to be on the Play Station 2, but there will most likely be a PC version as well.

There are eight new girls. The story takes place in the same city and school, but two years have already passed. The system has remained the same. There are new opening and ending vocal songs. It's a possibility that characters from the first game will show up. Mitsumi Misato, Amazuyu Tatsuki, Kawata Hisashi, and Nakamura Takeshi did two girl designs each.

Moon Phase has a scan up. It features the eight girls. It also features interviews.

"'One Piece' Still a Fan Sub Series?"

Old news, but had to be placed up anyway. The anime of "One Piece" apparently has not been licensed yet. It was originally stated the Funimation was the one who picked up rights to it. Now, they're just one of the companies to pick it up along with Viz.

"Game Feats II"

Remember Morimoto? The guy who finished "Super Mario Brothers III" in 11 minutes? Well, he has made a mock movie of "Rockman II". Special thanks goes to Joe Randel.

Yup, Morimoto's a gaming god.

"Limenko"

Old news, but if you want to see a fresh new face in the gaming world, check out the Korean company, Limenko. The games carry interesting graphics and best of all, they seem interesting to play with. Get your arcade palace to get games from them now.
