Do I even have to tell you all what this game is? This is the game that saved the video game world! I might as well just throw in random stuff about this game now.
People all over the world started to know this game that came out in 1985 for North Americans. I can't recall the Japanese date, but it must have been as early as 1982. Mario and Luigi, two Brooklyn plumbers, magically go to the Mushroom Kingdom to save the princess named Toadstool or Peach for some of you. The kidnapper is named King Koopa or Bowser, a hideous reptile.
Fun - 10
Wow! This game tried its best to revive the game world and yes, it did. I never thought that this game can make an impact like this. Shooting down enemies or stomping on them if you can't use fire was spiffy.
Oh, sure, the game is a bit challenging down the stretch. Other than that, what else is there to complain about? The game revived the world, didn't it?
Life - 10
Yeah, there is not much else to do after you finished the game. So what? The game did its job already.
Control - 10
Up, down, left, right, pause, select how many players will be playing, jump, action, you know the drill. That's all you needed to know about the game. Simple, huh?
Audio - 10
You didn't have many tunes, but that's okay. What mattered was that they have become memorable to this day. The sound effects were basic, but that's okay.
Story - 10
Eh. Not the best story in the world now, but remember. I barely got a start in life when this game came out. So, I just accepted it anyway.
Art - 10
With the limitations, I just had to give a perfect score. They may not look good now, but back then, it was decent. Plus, I'm on a roll here.
Overall - 10
"Super Mario Brothers" changed the gaming world forever. Oh and it did in a good way. That's all you need to know.
+
It's the classic! What else do you need to know?
