Hmmm. Where do I begin? I know.
Honestly, I thought that making a web site was one task I would never do. Yeah, I thought about making one during my years in high school and shortly after I graduated from it. The reason I thought it would be hard was because of the various steps towards the making of a place. Making paragraphs, bolding text, steps like those seemed complicated.
Thankfully, I had help from few people. Since then, my tasks here have been easy. Well, sort of. If it wasn’t for those people, I wouldn’t have the drive to make a site on the web and this site wouldn’t be up in the first place.
How did I get into anime and manga? I was aware of various series like "Sailor Moon". However, I did not really become a fan until my junior year in high school six years ago. There were various series I was introduced to. Some of those series include "Ranma", "Tenchi" and "Eva". Since then, I blossomed at a quick rate. I watched and read a lot of series like "Kodocha", "Love Hina", "Azumanga" and "Noir". I even study series I have not watched or read yet.
True, I am not the king of anime and manga fans. I don’t think any fan can be the king or queen of anime and manga fans. Still, I am one of those fans who knows quite a good amount about the subject.
Ever since I became a fan, various thoughts popped into my mind. I want to become the Roger Ebert of the anime world. I want to write a book on the fan’s view behind anime and manga. I think I could be the author to do a task like this.
I also would love to become a seiy in Japan. I want to do a task few male seiy have done before: play as a girl. Well, if there is a charater I want to play as, it would be "Samurai Spirits's" Shizumaru. I have the ability to play as him, regardless if I talk about the original or a dub. If he never gets the opportunity to be in an anime, I just want to play as one of those guys who acts like a good friend and such. You know, guys like Masashi of "To Heart" or Makoto of "El Hazard", I want to play as guys like those.
Okay. I don’t think I will do tasks like those, but I am sure there will be a fan or a future fan in the making that will do tasks like the ones I have already mentioned. Yes, I believe someone will do the dreams for me and I will be the first one to congratulate that person, if I am given the opportunity.
When I leave from this place, I hope that I have given fans an idea on what series to view and avoid. I also hope that I have brought in new fans. I have introduced various manga and anime to a few people.
In closing, I would like to give my thanks to Jessica Umali, my little sister who taught me how to build a page in the first place and Phuc Le/MrHappyface for various tasks like advice on the site and so forth. I also want to thank each and every wonderful anime, manga and video game character. They may not be real, but they live in my world and have my gratitude. To those who I have forgotten, my gratitude goes to you too.
Dmo arigat gozaimasu minna-san! ^_^
