Born on May 23, 1907 at Claremont, N.H. and died in Anderson S.C. on November 28, 1991.
He attended Norwich University in Vermont where he was in the Calvary and also played Polo. There he studied Electrical and Chemical Engineering. He left the University during the Great Depression in the early 1930's. He and his brother opened a gas station in Fitchburg, Mass. A year later he returned to school in Boston, Mass. at Northeastern University where he obtained his Electrical Engineering Degree. During WWII, he worked for the SeeBees at Quonsett Point, R.I. in strategic war planning with a high security clearance with U.S. Navy. His father was Benjamin Edward Murch Jr. and his mother was Millicent Dare (Gambell) Murch.
His trade was a registered professional engineer. He married Doris Elizabeth Hamiliton on May 23, 1936. He had three children:
He was the one to document and keep all of the pictures for the Murch family.
