10.0 EXITING FROM
WORD
Exiting from Word is the same as leaving any other Windows
application. Leaving Word will automatically close any documents
that you currently have open.
Step 10.1 Choose Exit from the File menu. If the exit option is not on the list, wait a few seconds for it to appear, or highlight the additional menu items option .
If you have changed your document since you last saved it, you will be prompted to save it again.

Step 10.2 Click on Yes.
Exercise 1
1. Write a single paragraph letter to your boss Brian complaining that you are overworked. Begin the letter with Dear Brian.
2. Insert the word MEMO at the top of the document, and insert a blank line between MEMO and the main text.
3. Print the letter.
You also wish to send a copy of the memo to Mr. Thompson, the Managing Director of your company.
4. Delete your boss's name and insert the name of the Managing Director.
5. Print the second letter.
Exercise 2
1. To prove to your boss your overpowering workload create a "things to-do" list.
2. Create a document containing a list of all the things you have to do today.
3. Insert a date at the top of the list.
Despite your good intentions it is unlikely that you will complete any of your tasks today. Make another copy of the list for tomorrow.
4. Insert a page break.
5. Copy the entire text and paste it below the page break.
6. Change the date on the second list to tomorrow's date.
7. Print the document.
8. Save the file on the 31/2 Floppy (A:) drive so you can refer to it again.
