1.0 TABLES
A table is a convenient way of grouping text in an organised manner.

Creating the table.

Step 1.1 Start a new blank document by clicking on the new blank document button on the toolbar.

Step 1.2 Choose the Tables and Borders Icon

Click on tables and borders

This will bring up the Tables and Borders toolbar.

Step 1.3 Click on the Draw Table icon.

Step 1.4 Move the pencil to a position, click on the left button and drag the outside box to the required size (do not release the button yet). Just guess the size. We are going to start with 3 rows.

Step 1.5 Release the left Button. Now to specify the rows. Drag the pencil from the left border, producing a dotted line.

Step 1.6 Continue dragging until the line is formed, thus creating a row.

Step 1.7 Complete the other lines to form the 3 rows and 3 columns. Do not worry about getting it just right. We will tidy it up later.

Step 1.8 Click on each cell in turn and enter the text, as below.
