"It will be seen from this table that there is a recurring rule of the planets in unbroken succession through the whole week, after which the sequence recommences in the same order, each planet ruling the first and the eighth of the day hours and the third and tenth of the night hours of the day referred to that planet. Waite's Book of Black Magic assigns the following hours as favorable for the corresponding operations:
......Saturn:
    Communication with spirits.
    Invoking souls in hell.
    News of those who died naturally.
Saturn and Mars are also good for preparation when they are in conjuction with the Moon or one another. The Key of Solomon sites them as favorable for experiments of hatered, lawsuits, enmity and discord, etc. The Sun, Jupiter, and Venus, especially in their hour, are favorable to ordinary and extraodinary operations not already mentioned.

The Moon is best suited for the conjuration of spirits, works of necromancy, and finding stolen goods (but must be in conjuction with a terrestrial sign) such as:

......Aries, Leo or Sagittarius:
    Hateredother villainousacts dreampt
    Discord

......Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces:
    Extraordinary Operationsof all kinds.

If these are not possible then perform the operation when the Moon is waxing in an equal number of degrees with the Sun.

When the Moon is in opposition to the Sun, perform operations for warlike, riotous and discordant experiments. It is best to do work that deals with operations of destruction and ruin in its last quarter. When the Moon is almost deprived of light is the best time for operations of invisiblity.and death.

If the Moon is in conjuction with the Sun all operations will fail. But if it is its crescent period any preparations may be made ready and any writings and operations accomplished, especially communication with spirits. It must be the day of Mercury and the hour with the Moon being in an aërial sign and in pair number with the Sun.
