My POW Remembrance Poem Quilt & Remembrance Candles Links to Other Stories, Poems, and Patriotic Graphics |
The purpose of this page is to unite my voice with that of many others who are uniformly chanting to bring our men and women home from prison camps scattered throughout Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos. I am sure that there are camps in other countries throughout southeast Asia and we would like to see these soldiers sent home as well. So if you do not support freedom, liberty, and the pursuit of our soldiers who have been left behind by the very government sworn to protect them, please exit this page in a calm and quiet manner.
The POW/MIA issue is something I have personally had to live with all of my life in various ways. While my father served in the Marine Corps in the Phillipines at the tail end of the Vietnam Conflict and came home safely, many of his friends did not. I have had many members of my family since the dawning of the United States go off to war to support our right of freedom and never come home. It is my hope that my contribution will enable others to see that although they may not have been touched directly by losing someone they love to war, they have been touched by losing a fellow American.
So please read on and enjoy your stay here. Don't forget to visit my other pages as well and sign my guestbook, which is located on the NEW POW/MIA Quilt page. With Peace and kindness from my house to yours......Christina
I was honored to recieve this award on 08 June 2000.
