January 1, 2000, Saturday- January 1, 2000, Saturday- a great start to a new year. Rob, Deb, Susan and myself enjoyed a mild sunny morning relaxing outside the coach with a hot game of euchre. Soon it was bike-riding time, and the three of them cruised off for an 18 mile jaunt, while I walked the dog and caught up on some travel items for our trip to Vail. Also, with my feet still not 100% perfect- I decided not to push the envelope. But, with the prednisone, and the prevacid, we are moving forward.
Dinner was at the CC Inn on El Paseo- with an intimate table for four in the corner. Then, back to the card table until too late. With Rob & Deb leaving in the morning, who knows when the championship contest will be resumed?
January 2, 2000, Sunday- so long Deb & Rob. With 500 miles to go, mid morning brought our visit to an end. The rest of the day we got ready to head back to Vail. Found out that on Dec. 31 someone won over $500 million in a progressive machine at the Belagio Hotel in Vegas. Now that's a jackpot!
