V.P. Seminars, Nor-Cal Chapter IIA

The seminar committee members, composed of Martin Coyne, Pat Hurst, and myself, have been working hard this summer to put together this year’s seminar program. Beginning with a vision for providing top-quality training to our membership, we used information provided in the chapter membership surveys to select topics representing opportunities for adding value to our organizations. We then identified leading speakers with expertise and proven success in providing training in the subject matter. We are presently formalizing commitments with selected speakers and will be announcing next year’s seminar speakers as soon as those commitments have been finalized. Please mark down the following dates and topics on your calendar:

November 6 "Effective Communication and Facilitation"

This one-day seminar will focus on helping the auditor work more efficiently and communicate with the client and to be a more effective agent of change.

January 29-30 "Fraud Symposium"

This two-day seminar will focus on fraud detection techniques for auditors.
