The interview went pretty well, as well as it could have gone she guessed. If Dylon knew she was going out with all 5 of the Backstreet Boys tonight as a special guest, she knew she'd regret him finding out. She had so many regrets from her relationship with Dylon that it made her chin quiver just thinking about it. She knew she deserved so much better, but was honestly afraid to leave him. She shook her head, clearing all of her thoughts. She couldn't think about him right now, not right now. Her day had gone way too good to let him ruin it for her again. She looked into her rearview mirror. She knew she was beautiful, lot's of people told her that, but no man had ever made her feel sexy, or wanted for that matter. The way Nick had reacted towards her was something she had never known before. She had spent many of her nights alone, wondering where Dylon had gone, or who he was with. And she also knew that Dylon had cheated on her before. She never confronted him about it though, she never had the guts to do that. She shook her head again. Her thoughts always went back to Dylon, she grinned at the thought of Nick again. She just couldn't help but smile at the thought of him, he was absolutely beautiful. She flipped the radio and a song came on that reminded her of Nick.
i'm so tired of being here
suppressed by all of my childish fears
and if you have to leave
i wish that you would just leave
because your presence still lingers here
and it won't leave me alone
these wounds won't seem to heal
this pain is just too real
there's just too much that time cannot erase
when you cried i'd wipe away all of your tears
when you'd scream i'd fight away all of your fears
and i've held your hand through all of these years
but you still have all of me
you used to captivate me
by your resonating light
but now i'm bound by the life you left behind
your face it haunts my once pleasant dreams
your voice it chased away all the sanity in me
these wounds won't seem to heal
this pain is just too real
there's just too much that time cannot erase
when you cried i'd wipe away all of your tears
when you'd scream i'd fight away all of your fears
and i've held your hand through all of these years
but you still have all of me
i've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone
and though you're still with me
i've been alone all along
"He makes me feel that Dylon isn't good enough." She smiled at herself in her rearview mirror again. She continued to drive towards the arena in Orlando. She had called Allan earlier to let him know she had gotten an exclusive with the guys at their show tonight. He was happy that she'd gotten 'him' his story. He was a greedy man, and honestly she didn't think too highly of him, he had given her a chance to improve her career though, and for that, she was grateful.
She couldn't wait to see Nick again, and to be honest, she hadn't stopped thinking about him since she left. The interview with them had brought out a part of herself she had never seen. She joked around with them, and smiled uncontrolably for almost the whole time. She couldn't remember the last time she had smiled like that, especially since Dylon had come into the picture. Life would never be the same now that she had the Backstreet Boys in her life. She didn't know if that was a good or a bad thing, but she knew for sure that she was loving it at that very moment. She also couldn't help but smile to herself thinking about Nick's little smiles and winks at her while she sat next to him, she had to admit that he was very attractive, and she couldn't believe that he looked at her like that.
She pulled into the parking lot of the small arena, and looked at herself in the rearview again. She breathed heavily as she started to get nervous again. She knew she could just turn around and go back home and not have to worry about if Dylon found out, but she also knew she couldn't do that. Deep down inside of her, she knew she had to go into that place and see 'him' again. Her life was changing right before her eyes and she was actually enjoying it.
Kristi Pierce was never the type of girl who fell in love with someone that was unatainable, but Nick Carter was a charmer, and she knew that he had a way with her, every little smile or wink set her heart fluttering in her chest like a little bird inside of her. She couldn't help but think to herself that he would be a great catch, and then shook her head, clearing all thoughts of that nonsense.
"Get a hold of yourself Kristi, don't be a damned fool. Nick Carter isn't interested in you." She scolded herself for even thinking such a thing. "You're destined for a life of unhappiness and utter abuse and sabotage." She could hear his voice in her head telling her to behave herself, to obey him and not talk back. She could almost see his mocking smile, telling her she was stuck, to be his forever. There was just nowhere to run, noone to turn to. Who would believe her anyway? No one, that's who.
"You just gonna sit in there all night?" Her thoughts were broken by the voice at her window.
"Huh? Who?" She turned and looked out the window. There was Brian peeking in at her with a smile on his face. "Oh, no. I was just thinking." She smiled back at him.
"Well, come in then." He winked and opened her door for her. "Nick hasn't shut up about you since you left." He laughed.
"Really?" she questioned.
"Yeah, really. He's talked about you non-stop." They walked inside together and he lead her down the aisles of the arena, towards the stage.
