"Brian, can I ask you something?" Kristi looked over at him as he was about to walk up on the stage.
"Sure Kris, ask away."
"Is.. I mean, is Nick a player?" she questioned.
"You mean does he play with girls? Their feelings?" he questioned.
"Yeah."
"Since I've known Nick, which is quite a while, I've never known him to hurt or play with a girls' feelings that he likes. He likes to pick on girls that he likes, that's how they know he likes them usually. But sometimes he goes a little too far, like one girl he hung out with, she thought he liked her in a different way, like as a girlfriend, but he just wanted to be her friend. She didn't like that, and she got mad at him and went to the press with some things about Nick that were secret and very personal. He has had a hard time trusting girls after that. But believe me, he flirts alot, but with good intentions, and he doesn't flirt with girls if he doesn't like them."
"Oh, ok then." Kristi looked down at the floor and she could feel her face turning red.
"You like him, huh?" Brian smiled.
"He's sweet, all of you are." She smirked.
"You like him. That's great." Brian smiled to himself and continued to walk. "Come on, the guys are waiting."
"Ok." She said and walked up to the stage. She turned around and looked out over all of the seats, she imagined all of them would be full later that night.
"What you thinkin about?" Brian whispered in her ear.
"Oh my gosh, you scared me. I was just imagining that this place will be full later on tonight."
"Possibly, but we haven't seen the ticket sales yet. But I'm sure it will be good." He smiled and grabbed her hand and pulled her towards the back. She could feel butterflies in her stomache again.
"Hey Kris." Howie smiled as they stepped behind a huge burgundy curtain.
"Hi again Howie." She grinned.
"You can call me D, we're friends now." He smiled and put his arm around her.
"Ok, D. Hi AJ." She smiled looking over at the couch where AJ was sitting.
"Hey beautiful." He smiled back pulling his sunglasses down again to give her a once over.
"Hi Kevin, Nick." She blushed looking over at Nick as he practiced grinding his hips against the air in the room. She almost wanted to choke as he turned towards her and glanced into her eyes with the most lustful look she had ever seen.
"Hi Kris." Nick glanced at her again, and looked back away and went back to practicing.
"If I do say so myself, you don't need any more practice on that Nick. The movements look great, even a little hot." Kris blurted out before she could stop herself. She gasped as she realized that she had said it outloud. "Oh shit." She whispered and covered her mouth quickly.
"No, I agree Nick, you're doing great." Brian jumped in as he realized just how embarrased Kristi really was, she was actually close to tears.
"Thanks Bri, Kristi, it's alright. You're hot too." Nick smiled and put his arm around her.
"Thanks Nick." She blushed a little more as she wrapped her arm around his waist.
"You don't have to be shy, I won't bite you." Nick smiled.
"But remember, I nibble." She whispered with a grin, feeling more comfortable.
"That's right, and believe me, I won't forget." He smiled and walked over to a table full of water bottles and peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches. He grabbed a water bottle and sat on the couch.
"So Kris, you gonna watch the show from front row, V.I.P. or backstage?" Kevin asked breaking the short silence.
"I'm not sure, what do you recommend?" She asked quietly as she sat down between Nick and AJ.
"I recommend you watch on the stage." AJ smirked.
"On the what?" She asked looking over at him.
"How are you at dancing?" AJ asked.
"I don't know. Why?"
"Nick's dance partner is out sick, and she might not be back before the big tour kicks off and AJ's determined to find a replacement as soon as he can." Brian shrugged.
"But, I don't know your routine or anything, besides, you're crazy. I can't do it. No way." She shook her head.
"Kris, calm down, it's not that hard to learn, if Nicky can learn it, you can learn it." Howie laughed.
"Funny D, very funny." Nick flipped him the bird with a huge smirk on his face.
"Nicky, Nicky, is that any way to act around a lady?" Howie laughed again.
"D, I'm seriously gonna get up and slap you around." Nick said with a gleam in his eye.
"Save it you two, what do you say Kris?" Kevin asked quietly.
"But, what if I mess up? I don't know. I don't wanna make Nick look bad."
"Impossible, Nick's a great leader. Besides, he knows the routines like the back of his hand." Brian smiled at her.
"I suppose I could give it a try then. But I would need time to practice with him, one on one." She shrugged her shoulders nervously.
"I'll give you one on one time alright." Nick thought to himself with a grin.
"Alright then, there's a practice room down the hall. You guys go ahead. There's about 2 hours til show time. You think you can pick it up in that much time?" Kevin asked with a small smile.
"I'll see what I can do." She smiled and grabbed her things off the couch. Her and Nick headed down the hall towards the practice room.
"I didn't bring anything to dance in though." She said as she looked up at Nick.
"No worries, I have some extra clean sweats in the bathroom over there." He pointed to a small room in the corner with a light on.
"Thanks." She smiled and walked into the room. She closed the door and looked around the tiny room. 'What did I get myself into?' she asked herself. She shrugged and started pulling clothes off and pulling different clothes on. Finally she was clothed in a sweatsuit that needed some changes. She leaned down and rolled the legs up to her knees and the sleeves up to her elbows. She looked around the room again and spotted a pair of sneakers that looked about her size. She looked into them, they looked clean, and they had 'Sarah' written on the inside of the tongue. She shrugged again and pulled them on and laced them up.
"I'm ready when you are." Nick said outside the door.
"I'm warning you, I'm not a good follower. I was a ballet dancer until I was 16. I like to lead." She smiled as she walked out of the bathroom.
"That's cool, I'm a strong leader." He smiled and grabbed her around the waist. "But, alot of the dances are really sexual and close. Hope you can deal with that." He said as he pulled her against him.
"I hope you can deal with me rubbing myself all over you." Kris smiled and turned towards him. "So, let's go almighty leader." She said putting her smaller hands into his larger ones.
"I'm sure I can deal with that. I know I can." Nick smiled and turned around and flipped on the small stereo. 'The Call' came blaring out and he turned back towards her. "You need to turn like this." He said as he twirled her so her butt was planted against his crotch. "Hmm, just like that." He said as he listened intently on the music behind him, and then slowly started to move his hips against her. Following his lead she started moving in time to the music, she lost herself in the music, and was caught up in the explosion of feelings as Nick moved his body against hers, moving their hips together in time with the music. She leaned forward and stuck her butt out more, flipping her hair around and losing herself almost completely. Nick's hands moved around her hips and pulled her closer, moving his hips a little harder against her. He ran his hands down the front of her chest, and then turned her around to face him. She stared into his eyes as she continued to move against him, feeling herself growing hot in places she knew shouldn't be feeling that way. She put her hands on his shoulders and continued to look into his eyes. She was enjoying herself, she hadn't danced like this much before. She wasn't aware of anything at that moment as Nick pushed his lips against hers. She stopped moving to the music and just stood there, not sure if she should respond to his mouth or not. She decided what the hell and kissed him back. Slowly moving her tongue across his lips, she could taste him, the warmth of his mouth covering hers. When they broke apart she couldn't even open her eyes, she felt like she couldn't breathe.
"Oh god." She said as she finally released the breath she had been holding in. She opened her eyes slowly, as they focused in on Nick's face.
"Are you ok?" He asked.
"No one has ever kissed me like that before." She sighed. "It was beautiful."
"Thank you for not pulling away and punching me in the face, then I'd feel really dumb." He laughed.
"Thanks for doing it. Because I sure wouldn't have had the guts to do it." She smiled.
"I've wanted to do that all day, since you walked into the room this morning." He said grabbing her around the waist again.
"Believe me when I say, I wanted it. I thought about you after I left today. I couldn't stop thinking about you."
"You know what? Tonight on stage though, don't bend over like that. I'll be too distracted by that to sing." he laughed again.
"Oh, yeah." She giggled and walked over to the bathroom. "I'm sorry about that, it's just that I got kind of caught up in the music."
"No reason to be sorry."
"What do you say? Wanna go out and get some air?" she smiled.
"Sure, lead the way." He smiled at her and grabbed her hand.
