"Kris, seriously. I'm going to take a shower really quick. You go ahead and grab my keycard and go wait in the lobby for Sascha. Take Kevin with you. He's in the room at the end of the hall on the left." Nick smiled and walked into the bathroom and shut the door. Kris grabbed his key off the dresser where he had set it down and put it into her pocket. Nick waited to hear the door shut to slide down the bathroom door and sit on the floor with his head in his hands. "She's something else. I've never known a girl like her before." Nick sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. "She's gonna drive me absolutely crazy too." Nick laughed to himself and stood up. He pulled his clothes off and hopped into the shower.
"Kevin, come on. Open the door." Kris giggled.
"Just a sec, I'll be right there." she could hear his rustling through some things and an occasional curse as she heard something hit the floor.
The door swung open and Kevin stood there with wet hair and dressed in jeans and a t-shirt.
"You ok? I heard you cursing in there." Kris laughed.
"Yeah, I'm fine. And since AJ thought it would be so damn funny to make me nervous, he's coming down to the lobby with us to meet her." Kevin smiled and banged on AJ's door.
"What?" AJ hollered.
"J, it's me. Come on." Kevin laughed.
AJ opened the door and peeked out.
"What do you want Kev? I'm getting ready to go to bed." AJ asked looking over at Kristi. "Oh Miss. Kristi, nevermind, I'll be right there." AJ smiled and closed the door again. He re-emerged moments later with his key in hand. They all made their way to the elevator and waited paitently.
"Where's Nick?" Kevin asked.
"He's in the bathroom taking a cold shower." Kristi said giggling as the elevator opened up to them.
"What did you do to him?" AJ Chuckled at her.
"I kissed him, and he said I did something to him. And he pulled away and had a slight problem." She blushed.
"Oh man. Nick is a kissing type of guy. He could probably get off from kissing a girl." AJ laughed. The elevator came to a stop at the lobby and they hopped out. They quietly scanned the lobby for a moment.
"Hey Sascha." Kris smiled at the blonde standing a few feet away.
"Kris, what the hell is going on?" Sascha asked walking up to her. "And why the hell are some of the Backstreet Boys with you?" She asked her friend looking at Kevin.
"Come upstairs, and we'll fill you in." Kris smiled and grabbed her friend's hand. They got back on the elevator and AJ pushed the button.
"Hi Sascha." AJ smiled at her.
"Hey J, long time no see, huh?" She smiled back and put her arm around him.
"Yeah, too long."
"Sasch, how's it going?" Kevin asked finally.
"Not bad Kev, and yourself?" She smiled at him.
"I'm great thanks. Still with the boyfriend?" He asked.
"Who, Dan? Nah, we broke up months ago. I'm as single as they come." Kris giggled at this and Sascha looked up at her. "What's funny Kris?"
"Nothing, I'm sorry." Kris said clearing her throat.
"So, ummm, would you like to go on a date with me sometime?" Kevin asked looking back at Sascha.
"I'd like that alot. Let's have our little talk with Kris first though, and then we'll talk, ok Kev." She smiled as the elevator stopped once more and they all made their way out onto the boy's floor. They walked to Nick's room and Kris pulled out a keycard. The green light clicked on and she opened the door slightly.
"You decent Nick?" Kris asked.
"Yeah, I'm still in the bathroom." He hollered back.
"Ok, got company in here." Kris laughed.
Kris pulled Sascha to the bed and sat down with her. She started off by telling her how the interview went and then rambled about doing the gig with them that night and now they wanted her to tour with them. And that they wanted Sascha to do the 100 hour tour with them as well. She finished off by telling her about her and Nick kissing and that she felt like a kid again in a candy store. Sascha just looked at her and then smiled widely.
"Oh Kris, you're fantastic." Sascha smiled and pulled her into a hug. "And you said yes, I hope."
"That's what I wanted to talk to you about. I was wondering what I should do about Dylon. And I want to tour with them. I think I like Nick. Alot." Kris said looking up as Nick opened the bathroom door.
"Hey Nickolas, long time." Sascha said standing up and hugging him.
"Hey Sasch, I'm glad you sent Kris though. I like her a whole lot too." He smiled.
"I think you should do it, dump Dylon, and tour with them. I think you deserve it." Sascha smiled at Kris.
"I'm scared. What if........ what if he finds me?" Kris quivered.
"Kris, we told you. Security will be around all the time, no one will get near you with them around. And we'll watch out for you too, I promise." Nick said walking toward her and sitting down on the bed. She looked up into his eyes and smiled. She placed her hand on the side of his face gently and pulled him to her. She held him tightly as she felt the fresh tears burst. She let them come, holding onto Nick as tight as humanly possible.
"Shh, Kris, it's ok." AJ said sitting behind her and rubbing her back gently.
AJ met Nick's eyes over her shoulder, he looked terrified. "We need to talk later." He mouthed to AJ. AJ just shook his head and contined to rub her back gently.
"AJ, you stay here with Nick and Kris, we'll talk to you all tomorrow." Kevin said grabbing Sascha's hand and pulling her out the door, closing it gently behind them.
"Oh Nick, I'm so sorry." Kris cried against his shoulder.
"Don't ever be sorry, you didn't ask him to be the way he is. Don't ever say you're sorry for that. He's a bastard for hitting you." Nick said calmly. AJ could see the anger hit Nick's face, his eyes becoming darker blue.
Kristi turned around and grabbed AJ into her arms quickly and held him close to her. Nick took up rubbing her back gently as AJ soothed her.
"Kris, Nick's right. Dylon is the one that is wrong on this one. I would never hit a woman, no matter what she did. You're going to be alright, we'll take care of you. I promise you, we'll have extra security for you if that's what you think you need. Please don't cry." AJ whispered into her ear and kissed her cheek.
"I don't know what I did to deserve your trust so soon. You guys don't have to do all of this for me." She said pulling AJ's shirt to her face.
"You were just you. That's all you ever have to do. No one here will ever ask more than that from you." Nick said gently as he looked at AJ again. AJ had tears in his eyes too. Nick had never wanted to hit someone so much in his life as he wanted to hit this Dylon guy. But he would just keep her safe, he would make sure that she was safe.
"Kris, I know you probably don't believe us, but everything will be alright." AJ said holding her to him.
"We all promise you, things will change." Nick whispered.
