Russian "ULU" or Eskimo style fire steel or flint striker. It was traded along the Western coast of America up through Alaska. Based on an original pictured in The Museum of the Fur Trade Quarterly that was recovered in Alaska. For someone recreating the early Fur Trade along the Northwest Coast. Size is approximately 5 1/2 inch by 2 inch, and 1/8 inch thick. Yes, this is a BIG fire steel.
