English Crown |
Crown shaped Colonial era fire steel or flint striker. This is a variation of the classic C style fire steel with the ends bent up to resemble a crown. This style would have been carried by a farmer, settler, hunter, or soldier in the British Colonies before the Revolution. Originals have been found in Virginia and Massachusetts. For someone recreating a settler or hunter in the Middle Grounds. Size is approximately 3 3/4 inch by 2 inch, and 1/8 inch thick. This fits the hand very well with a three finger grip through the two loops and the center of the crown.
