Meeting with the Future
Part Three
After four months of dating, Joshua and Lorelei plan a weekend trip away. Sookie and Rory are less concerned now that Lorelei has decided to go ahead and tell her parents about Joshua. She shows up at her parent’s house when she knows Rory will be out of the house. She goes to their home two days before her trip.
“Mom and dad I need to tell you something,” she says to her shocked parents.
“What are you doing here,” her Mom says.
“I just wanted you to know I broke it off with Luke and I am seeing someone else.”
She turns to leave and her Dad stops her.
“So how did Luke take it?”
“He was actually fine with it, I didn’t want Rory to have to carry the information around and not be able to tell you, it’s not fair to her. So now you know, I really have to go."
She leaves as her parents looking shocked after her.
Joshua picks her up early evening on Thursday, to drive to a nice B & B in southern Connecticut; they arrive just before dark.
“It’s beautiful, you have great taste,”
“Well, it’s no Dragonfly Inn, but the information I reviewed made it seem perfect for a romantic weekend.”
When they get to the room, and put away the bags, Joshua embraces Lorelei, and then they kiss tenderly.
‘If I wasn’t starving we could take this to the room,” she says laughing.
“Let’s go eat,” he says.
Hand in hand they walk to a local restaurant on the lake.
“Breathtaking.” she says in awe.
They have lobster and Lorelei, as usual thoroughly enjoys her food.
“I can’t remember the last time I had seafood, actually I don’t think I have had good seafood since high school, you are spoiling me.”
“That is my intention,” he says smiling.
Joshua smiles as he watches and gets a kick out of her enjoyment. He has yet to tell her about his Trust Fund. Having money has never worked to his advantage. They make plans for her to meet his mother she will spend that next weekend at his home helping with the decorating and enjoying his pool. She has already been to the house several times and it is gorgeous. When they are done they take a walk on the pier.
“This is a really nice area, I am going to enjoy this weekend,” she says.
Arriving back in the room, Joshua goes in to take a shower. A few minutes later Lorelei joins him. First they giggle and play with the water. Then things turn more sensual. Watching her soap herself; Joshua’s pleasure is obvious. She sees him watching and gives him a sexy smile. She goes toward him with the still soapy sponge and soaps him, up for a final rinse, before they make love.
Shower play is tiring so in the bedroom they snuggle up for a good night sleep. Lorelei falls asleep almost as soon as her head hits the pillow. Joshua watches her sleep for a while before giving in to his own tiredness.
The weekend is invigorating for them. On Friday morning they spend the day on a Yacht that is a portable casino, the owner is a friend of Joshua’s. This magnificent boat is like a mini cruise ship. There is a sun deck with pool, a tennis court, dining area, driving range, as well as the gambling area and sleeping cabins. At first Lorelei is uncertain about the whole yacht situation, but Joshua is so excited to show her his enthusiasm catches on.
“I don’t think I have said awesome so many times in one weekend, since the 1980’s” she laughs.
“Awesome, now that is a nice word, “Joshua adds while he pulls her closer to him as they stroll the sun deck.
They settle by the pool to soak up the rays and swim a while before lunch. Lorelei in her aqua bikini that compliments her eyes draws quite a few stares from men near the pool. Joshua doesn’t leave her side, as he sees them drooling over her; Lorelei notices the women watching him also and is glad that he stays close by. He helps her dry off as they head to their cabin, for the day, to change. After dinner they dance with everyone else on the small dance floor.
The next day they spend the day discovering the area; they have a lunch picnic at a local park and take a paddle boat ride that almost gets a little too wet when Lorelei starts splashing. They survive without turning over the boat but they do collect quit a bit of water and laugh a lot. Joshua helps Lorelei out of the boat and as he takes her hand someone yells at them.
“Don’t touch her you nigger.”
Joshua just ignores the voice, but before they get up the hill to the car there is a man standing in front of him. He is short and skinny and red faced. Joshua and Lorelei just walk past him. He stands there staring as they drive away.
Lorelei bites her lip as she tries to think of something to say. Joshua interrupts her thoughts.
“Will you be able to deal with people saying things to me, like that?”
“Josh, I don’t care what people say it is you I care about,” she says touching his hand.
He smiles as they leave the park.
“I’m glad Lorelei because I’m crazy about you and but you need to be aware of how things are,” he adds.
Their last night at the B & B is very intimate; She feels safe and truly at home in Joshua’s arms; something she has never felt before. She looks up into his hazel eyes and gets lost in them.
