I am finally working again and still pursuing my creative goals. I recently took up glass art and have been taking classes in flamework (learning to make handmade glass beads) and fused glass. I have been designing my own jewelry and dabbling in hand painting furniture. I have also been doing some personal life coaching and so....Life is Good! My hair has been growing and getting more versatile by the day. I am truly pleased each day that I made this decision. I rarely wear it in the wash and wear traditional loc style. The front is still rather straight and so looks a little too stingy for my taste (nothing to do with Sisterlocks and everything to do with MY hair). Also again with the type of work I do in corporate America a more "manicured" look is necessary. That being said, I have discovered more and more ways to wear it (which after all, for me was one of the main reasons I chose Sisterlocks). My 6 month anniversary falls within days of my physical birthday and so again this year I celebrate the 2 together. This year (my 52nd) I decided to do something very special for myself and have photos taken by a professional photographer. I opted not to go for the usual posed portrait studio pictures but instead to take a more creative approach and have some artsy action shots done on location. It was great fun. I love the way the pictures turned out. I even had her take some pictures of my hair so that I could share them with you on the site. So, I am including those hair photos along with a few of the others in my update. Sadly I have to report that in transferring the photos to the format needed for this site the picture quality has been severely degraded. I am posting them anyway in hopes that you will be able to at least get an idea of how my hair looks at 18 months! Hope you enjoy them! I promise to go back to the digital format for the next updates :0) *For more pictures please use the links at the top of the page! Copyright
