PREMISE

• Only those who have been united in Jesus Christ will inhabit the New Jerusalem.
• In the Golden Age, all mankind will be united in the religion of Pantheism.

PROGRAM OF GOD

Church Age: Jesus prayed for the unity of all true Christians.

Pre-Tribulation: Christians from every nation and culture, but not every religion, will be resurrected and caught up to heaven.

New Heavens/New Earth: Only those who are united in Christ will inhabit the New Jerusalem.

PROGRAM OF SATANIC DUPLICATION

Pre-Flood Era: The god, Pan, meant "The One."

Old Testament Period: The Tower of Babel was man's first attempt to unite the cultures of the world. The elders of Israel practiced the universal religion of sun worship in the Temple of Solomon.

Church Age: The Illuminati plan for a universal religion is being implemented through the ecumenical and interfaith movements.

Tribulation: The universal religion will at first pose as the Church of St. John, or the third phase in the evolution of Christianity.

Great Tribulation: The universal religion will be nonsectarian because its founding principle is pantheism ('one').

The United Religions Organization, which was created by the Interfaith Movement, will promote Gnostic paganism as a universal religion instead of Biblical Christianity.  The acronym UR was esoterically chosen because the United Religions represents the paganism of Ur of the Chaldees from which Abraham separated in Genesis 11:31. The paganism of Ur and Egypt was a continuation of the pre-flood paganism of Mount Hermon/Paneas.

        OLD TESTAMENT PERIOD

• The city and tower of Babel were mankind's first attempt to unite the people of the world into a global religion.

• The first religious 'brotherhood' were the followers of Horus, the Egyptian sun-god.

        CHURCH AGE

• The word 'church' derives from the Druidic circle or fairy ring.  The 'circle' is very important in the Druid tradition as the center for Sun worship.

"A well-known locational aspect of the fairy culture (particularly among the druidic caste) was the stone circle or Fairy Ring. This was, in practice, how the concept of local churches began as against the more majestic style of city temple. The very word 'church' stems from circe, meaning 'a ring' having the root as circus, circle and circuit." - 722:111

• The Greek word used in the New Testament to identify the Body of Christ is ekklesia—'the called out' or assembly. The Greek word for 'circle' is never used in the New Testament.

'Mr. Morgan's well-known business capacity, exhibited in connection with financial trusts, encourages many to believe that he will accomplish the desired end in connection with the movement. More and more all denominations are craving a religious trust or federation and are becoming more and more willing to sacrifice doctrines and principles formerly held dear in order to accomplish the federation." - 215:538

• The one world religion is a revival of the Babylonian one world religion.

• The Illuminati plan for a universal religion is being implemented through the ecumenical and interfaith movements.

   

  • The Ecumenical Movement is under the direction of the Vatican and the Masonic World Evangelical Alliance.

"The devisers of plans of unification [within the Church], such men as Erasmus, Cassander, Bucer, Cranmer, Calvin, a Lasco, Mornay, Pareus...were defeated in their aims of reunion. The disruptive forces were too strong for them." - 84:68

"Calvin...in a memorandum probably in December 1560...described the 'Free and Universal Council' that was needed 'to put an end to the existing divisions in Christianity'.  It must be free with respect to place of meeting, personnel, and procedure, and bound only by Scripture.  Location should be central to the attending nations. This interesting document offers what is virtually an agenda for the Council, listing numerous points in dispute in the realms of doctrine, worship and polity.  Calvin's council was to be a conference on Faith and Order -- with power.  The Pope was not excluded, but he must submit to the council's decisions and swear to abide by them.  Calvin insists that while a national synod may undertake internal reform, only a genuinely universal council can allay the troubles of Christendom." 84:33-4

"Humanism, which since the time of the Reformation had released the greatest energies for ecumenical thought and action, for a time fell in the background; but in the Enlightenment in Germany, with its Christian characteristics, it underwent a revival in...Leibniz." - 84:92

“It was Elias B. Sanford (1843-1932), a New England Congregationalist with a strong admixture of Methodism, who formulated the plans and held the preliminary meetings which resulted in the Federal Council [of Churches]... By November 1905 his ideas had so captured the American Protestant world that he was able to arrange for the great Inter-Church Conference on Federation in Carnegie Hall, New York City.” – 84:256-57

   “In 1843 a meeting in Scotland commemorating the 200th anniversary of the Westminster Assembly issued a plea for closer unity. The same year, Presbyterian William Patton of New York wrote to British Congregationalist John Angell James, recommending an interchurch conference to outline the truths on which churches agreed. A series of discussions and prayer gatherings led to a General Conference held in London August 19 to September 2, 1846. Eight hundred leaders from fifty-two 'bodies of Christians' in eight nations decided to form a confederation under the name 'The Evangelical Alliance.' The delegates agreed upon a doctrinal statement of basic evangelical views. They pointed out that they were not forming 'a new ecclesiastical organization' but expressing the spiritual unity that already existed 'among all who, loving the Lord Jesus Christ, are bound to love one another.' (ff.4. Minutes of the Proceedings of the Conference held at Freemasons' Hall, London, 1846.)
    “The remarkable fact is that the Statement of Faith drafted in 1846 has weathered the theological debates of the intervening decades and continues as the basis for the doctrinal statement of [the World Evangelical Alliance], the global organization that grew out of the EA. For a century, in the absence of any formal international structure, this statement and an annual Week of Prayer were the main visible connection between national committees of the EA. Not surprisingly, Britain's EA was the major player, with its international connections in the Commonwealth." - 535

   “Shortly before his death, Philip Schaff made a now famous address on ‘The Reunion of Christendom’ before the World Parliament of Religions, in...1893. In this address, Schaff urged a ‘federal or confederate union’ resembling the ‘political confederation of Switzerland, the United States, and the modern German Empire. This federation would be a 'voluntary association of different Churches in their official capacity, each retaining its freedom and independence in the management of its internal affairs, but all recognizing one another as sisters with equal rights, and cooperating in general enterprises, such as the spread of the gospel at home and abroad, the defense of the faith against infidelity, the elevation of the poor and neglected classes of society, works of philanthropy and charity, and moral reform'. This farewell address of the aged ecumenical leader was thus prophetic of the Federal Council [of Churches] of the 20th century, and even more of its successor, National Council of Churches.” – 84:256

"But when the French Grand Orient in 1877 decided to remove all references to God and to the Great Architect from their ceremonies, remove the Bible from their Lodges, and to admit agnostics and atheists, this was too much for the English Grand Lodge. The Grand Orient argued that to admit atheists was the final step in the policy of religious toleration which the Freemasons had always supported; but the English Grand Lodge broke off relations with the Grand Orient, as did the American Freemasons. The Grand Orient declared that by their action 'English Grand Lodge has struck a blow against the cosmopolitan and universal spirit of Freemasonry.'" - 542:220

 

    "This [October] 1986 gathering [Vatican Interfaith Conference], consisting of leaders of the world's major religions and initiated by the pope himself, would represent a visible transition from traditional 'ecumenism' to the new 'interfaithism'...

• United Religions Organization

"At the beginning the U.N. was only a hope. Today it is a political reality. Tomorrow it will be the world's religion." - 437:4

  "A 'UN of Religions!'... September/October 1994 issue of The Futurist. In an essay entitled 'Temples of Tomorrow: Toward a United Religions Organization,' Richard Kirby of the World Network of Religious Futurists and the late Earl D.C. Brewer wrote that 'Religions are now headed toward what may eventually form a United Religions Organization (URO), structured in much the same way as the United Nations and sharing the same goals.' Once the URO is created, they predict, it will be given the task of creating a 'New Covenant' for the planet:

    “Largest, most successful, and attracting by far the most attention was the World Parliament of Religions, where Shinto priests discoursed to African bishops, Buddhist monks lectured at Cumberland Baptists; Theosophists, Confucians, and Christian Scientists ‘found their hands clasped in one unbroken circle.’ How unbroken this circle was remains to be seen; but the fiction was maintained for the public of 140,000 who attended the Parliament...” – 439:53

• Judaism

    "...World Brotherhood was 'founded in 1950 at a conference at UNESCO House in Paris and evolved from the educational programs of the National Conference of Christians and Jews, which has been serving the cause of brotherhood in the United States and Canada since 1928.'

    "S. Parkes Cadman was president of the FCC from 1924-1928. He was a Mason and a grand chaplain of the Grand Lodge of New York for 28 years... He was instrumental in founding the National Council of Christians and Jews in 1928 along with Charles Evans Hughes, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations." - 215:43,212

• Druidism

"Executive Director Charles Gibbs has said that 'indigenous religions' would be included in the URI 'the same way everyone else would be involved. ... I was just in Oxford and ... the indigenous religion there is the Druid faith.' Modern-day Druids participate in the URI; the ancient Druids sacrificed people to the gods.'" - 594

[On July 1, 2000] Senior Church of England clergy are to join Druids and pagans at a controversial conference designed to help 'reconcile' the traditions, much to the alarm of Church leaders. The conference, 'Spirit of the Land 2000', is described as 'a Christian-Druid dialogue and reconciliation meeting for the new Millennium'..." - 271

"...the new Archbishop of Canterbury will be inducted as a druid in a 200-year-old ceremony with pagan roots in Wales next month. As the sun rises over a circle of Pembrokeshire bluestones, the Archbishop of Wales, the Most Rev Dr Rowan Williams, will don a long white cloak while druids chant a prayer to the ancient god and goddess of the land. After a trumpet fanfare and the thrice partial sheathing and unsheathing of a 6ft6in sword, a citation will be read. Dr Williams will close his hands in prayer while the archdruid, wearing a crown and shield over his bardic robes, will enfold them in his own and utter words of welcome. That will be the moment that Dr Williams, who will adopt a new, bardic name, is accepted into the white druidic order, the highest of three orders of the Gorsedd of Bards, the Welsh body of poets, musicians, writers and artists. The Mistress of the Robes, Sian Aman, will then clothe him in a druidic white headdress, and a steward will lead him to join the other assembled druids inside a sacred circle." - 595

"Constance Cumbey discovered in 1988 the evidence of a secret meeting between some of the most high ranking leaders of the New Age Movement and equally powerful Christian leaders, including those who were from the cult-watching community itself.  This meeting...was called the Gold Lake Conference.  According to Cumbey's July 1988 New Age Monitor, the Gold Lake Conference was held in Boulder, Colorado from October 24-26, 1987. It was called 'Christianity and the New Age'. The retreat was sponsored by Doug Coe's (Chuck Colson's mentor) Fellowship Foundation, Inc., The C. S. Lewis Institute, Spiritual Counterfeits Project and other 'Christian' groups. Those involved in the Christian world included: J.     "...it was only with Schelling that the medieval heresy of the Eternal Evangel reappeared. When in 1831 he began to deliver his famous lecture on The Philosophy of Revelation. In Munich, he felt himself to be invested with a great mission to announce a universal religion to come, the Church of St. John ... It has been said that 'many a listener... had the impression that he was watching the rise of a new stage of consciousness and the birth of a new religion.'... Like others, Schelling saw St. John as the apostle of the future. In concord with Moses, Elijah and John the Baptist, in the Old Dispensation, he placed Peter, Paul, and John in the New, representing the three stages in the Christian Church. Peter was the Apostle of the Father, Paul of the Son, while John was the Apostle of the Spirit who was leading mankind into the full truth of the future. The first stage was that of Catholicism, the second of Protestantism but the third will be the perfect religion of mankind.

   "In 1800 [F. de Hardenberg] Novalis published a pamphlet, Europa or Christianity. This strange young poet, writing under the influence of Boehme and German pietists such as Count Zinzendorf, prophesied the future new church confidently. He begins, however, with an ideal picture of medieval Catholicism. Christian Europe had once been a fraternity of peoples bound together by one faith. Protestantism had destroyed all this. Medieval Catholicism had been a positive, poetic, creative force; Protestantism was negative, critical, destructive--a dead-letter religion. The inevitable fruit was the French Revolution. But the mystical soul of Europe had remained hidden among the Illuminés and dissidents. To this Novalis appeals in his vision of a new evangel, a new Messiah, a new church. For this regeneration of humanity he looks to the hidden workings of hidden associations all over Europe--Freemasons, Pietistics, Illuminists. In particular, possibilities of the suppressed Jesuit order caught his imagination. But, for Novalis, the new church, although founded on Christianity, will move beyond all previous forms, the historic Christ yielding place to the new Messiah of Nature, for--under the influence of the romantic philosophy of nature--Novalis translates sacramental Christianity into pantheism. Into this new church other peoples of the world, for they only await the resurrection of Europe to join and become citizens of the celestial kingdom. All dogmas and forms will be abolished, for the Holy Spirit will guide into all truth... Yet there must be a new bible, perhaps many, for one need not be bound to one gospel for all time. 'Is is not possible to conceive of the composition of several Gospels? Is one absolutely bound to one historical Gospel?... Is not a Gospel of the future possible?' So questioned Novalis, and it was a bible of this new genre that he planned to begin in his romance, Heinrich von Ofterdingen. He intended many volumes for the poet must carry the new religion to men. But his early death brought his vision to an end. Other near contemporaries among German romantics were thinking in the same vein." - 256:54-56

• Mysticism

"A very important aspect of the secret societies has always been the ultimate unification of the world religions...based on the restoration of the pre-Christian Mystery Tradition, which had been persecuted by the early Church, and forced to go underground in medieval Europe, and that all religions had originated in a universal spirituality referred to as the Perennial Philosophy, the Primordial Tradition or the Ancient Wisdom." - 25:170

"...John Dee...and a core group of his friends and associates...met to form an evangelical confederation against the Catholic league... They believed that the solution of a universal religion was to be found in an evangelical Christianity, which involved a gnostic understanding of the gospels, about our direct relationship with God independent of priest intermediaries. Gnosticism refers to an inner experience that only one can know directly, not vicariously through someone else. Not least on their agenda was a vow to defend the use of the sacred cross from the abuse of those using it as a weapon of persecution in the name of God and religion." - 401

 "[Benjamin Creme], after speaking about the coming reformation of the churches and Buddhism, is asked if he believed this reformation 'will affect the various secret organizations, like the Masons, the Rosicrucians, and so on?' • The universal religion will be nonsectarian because its founding principle is Pantheism.

21-B. WORSHIP THE DRAGON (Luciferic Initiation)

PREMISE

• True worship of God is through the Holy Spirit and according to the truth of God's Word.
• Throughout the Great Tribulation, Lucifer will secure the worship of all mankind through a process of initiations.

PROGRAM OF GOD

          Old Testament: God commands His people to worship Him alone.

          Church Age: God commands all men to repent of their idolatry and to worship Him alone.

          Tribulation: All of the saved will worship Jesus Christ at the Bema Seat judgment.

          Millennium (end): All nations will worship God at the Great White Throne judgment.

PROGRAM OF SATANIC DUPLICATION

Pre-Flood Era: Lucifer, the worship leader of heaven, presumed to appropriate the worship of God to himself.

Old Testament Period: Lucifer was worshipped in pagan initiation rites and succeeded in securing the worship of the Israelites.

Church Age: Lucifer tempted Jesus Christ to worship him by promising him world domination. Satan, under the cover of false religions, seduces men to worship him by means of empty promises. Satan is exalted by heretics to the position of the Creator God.

Tribulation: Mankind will refuse to repent of demon worship; at mid-Tribulation, Satan and his angels will be cast upon the earth.

Great Tribulation: Lucifer, attempting to succeed in his original plan, will require all of mankind to worship him under penalty of death. Satan (aka Lucifer, the Dragon) worship will be final form of false religion into which people will be initiated. Satanism will come out of the closet in order to force the Luciferian initiation process upon the whole world.  The Mark of the Beast will be the seal of this initiation (See: Mark of the Beast 17.B).

CHURCH AGE

• Jesus taught that true worship of God is spiritual, not outward through ritual, but must be consistent with the Word of God.

Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. • Lucifer, who led the worship of God in heaven, attempted to appropriate God's worship to himself.

The cycle of Initiations was a reproduction in miniature of the great series of Cosmic changes to which astronomers have given the name of tropical or sidereal year. Just as, at the close of the cycle of the sidereal year [25,868 years], the heavenly bodies return to the same relative positions as they occupied at its outset, so at the close of the cycle of Initiation the inner man has regained the pristine state of divine purity and knowledge from which he set out on his cycle of terrestrial incarnation." 209:314

• At times, the House of Israel was involved in the worship of pagan gods.

• Satan tempted Jesus Christ to worship him by promising him the kingdoms of this world.

• Satan was exalted by medieval heretics to the status of the Creator God.

  "It was a fundamental Bogomil tenet that the Devil was creator and master of this world. This explains Wycliffe’s well-known Seventh of all the 24 Conclusions refuted by the Synod in London in 1382, one that continues to amaze British medievalists. The other part of the dualistic myth about the pride and fall of Lucifer and his angels also features repeatedly in the works of Wycliffe. True, he called upon Isaiah, obviously to defend himself from his numerous opponents from the Catholic Church. Both Bogomils and Cathars themselves also frequently quoted this theme according to Isaiah...

  Incarnation of the souls of angels in the human body

    "This important part of what is called 'secondary' or Satanic creation in the West, to use the Bogomil terminology, also found place in Wycliffe’s views. He developed the thesis of the dual human nature, i.e. flesh and soul, explaining that souls were probably angels implanted in human bodies. Wycliffe did not reveal his source, mainly out of caution, he just said he had taken the idea ex fide scripture. By this expression he underscored both the orthodoxy of the source and the reliability of the knowledge...

• Satan lures men to worship him by promising them spiritual illumination and power.

"The logo of one peace organization, Peace on Earth, shows the world with a huge dragon (one Biblical identity of Satan) perched on top and guarding it. A brochure declares what previous generations would have found shocking, but which has recently become acceptable: '...as we enter what has been described as the Aquarian Age, we are entering a time of cooperation between the spiritual and material realms, so it time for us to make peace with the dragon and work in partnership with the wisdom and the power of the earth that the dragon represents." - 11:44,45

"Our purpose is to consciously, deliberately evolve toward a wiser, more liberated and luminous state of being; to return to Eden, make friends with the snake and set up our computers among the wild apple trees." (New Age writer, Tim Robbins) - 449

While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. - II Pet. 2:19

• Satanists use organized religion as a cover for Satan worship.

"The infiltration and control of the Christian religion has been one of the easiest tasks of the Illuminati." - 49:126

"There is a connection between Marxism and a group of Satanists called Frankists. One of the strongest satanic cults to take control over the Jewish population was called Sabbatianism. Jakob Frank assumed the role of leader of this group, and afterward this brand of satanism was called Frankism. (Freud's sexually-obsessed theories came from Frankism.) Frank taught his followers to convert to another religion and hide behind that religion to practice their satanism. (One of several books on the subject of Frankism is The Contemporary Faces of Satan by Ratibor-Ray M. Jurjevich.) - 49:143

• Pagan initiation rites, which bond initiates to Satan, were 'Christianized' in the Catholic Church as 'sacraments'.

"It was Tertullian, one of the earliest apologists, who translated the Greek word 'mysterion' into the Latin 'sacramentum', a term still used in the liturgy and literature of the West by people oblivious to its direct ink with an ancient and almost forgotten wisdom of initiation." - 911:22

        TRIBULATION / FIRST 3.5 YEARS

• What is left of mankind after the seven Seal and six Trumpet judgments will refuse to repent of their devil worship.

And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk... - Rev. 9:20

• At the end of the first half of the Tribulation period, Satan and his angels will be cast down to earth.

• The one world religion will be the worship of the Dragon, Lucifer.

  "Lucifer prepares man in all ways for the experience of Christhood and the Christ prepares man for the experience of God...But the light that reveals to us the presence of the Christ...comes from Lucifer. He is the light giver. He is aptly named the Morning Star because it is his light that heralds for man the dawn of a greater consciousness...He stands...as the great initiator, the one who hands the soul over to the Christ...Lucifer came to give us the final gift of wholeness. If we accept it then he is free and we are free. That is the Luciferic initiation. It is one that many people now and in the days ahead will be facing, for it is an initiation into the New Age." Only through the sacrifice of humanity, which is the essence of the crucifixion, can the resurrection be undergone." (Alice Bailey) - 634

 

"That Gnostic Gospel [of Philip] lists five initiatory rites or sacraments: baptism, chrism (anointing), eucharist, redemption -- and the highest of all, 'the bridal chamber': 'The chrism is superior to baptism...and Christ is (so) called because of the chrism... He who is anointed possesses the All. He possesses the resurrection, the light, the Cross, the Holy Spirit. The Father gave him this in the bridal chamber." - 242:262

 

    “Christ gives us a definite picture of the entire process in His own life story, built around those major initiations which are our universal heritage and the glorious (and for many) the immediate opportunity. These are:
        1. The Birth at Bethlehem, to which Christ called Nicodemus, saying, 'Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.' (St. John, III, 3.)
        2. The Baptism in Jordan. This is the baptism to which John the Baptist referred us, telling us that the baptism of the Holy Spirit and of fire must be administered to us by Christ. (St. Matt., III, 11.)
        3. The Transfiguration. There perfection is for the first time demonstrated, and there the divine possibility of such perfection is proven to the disciples. The command [23] goes forth to us, 'Be ye therefore perfect even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.' (St. Matt., V, 48.)
        4. The Crucifixion. This is called the Great Renunciation, in the Orient, with its lesson of sacrifice and its call to the death of the lower nature...
        5. The Resurrection and Ascension, the final triumph which enables the initiate to sing and to know the meaning of the words: 'Oh death, where is thy sting? Oh grave where is thy victory?' (I Cor., XV, 55.)
        “Such are the five great dramatic events of the mysteries. Such are the initiations through which all men must some day pass. Humanity stands today upon the path of probation. The way of purification is being trodden by the masses, and we are in process of purging ourselves from evil and materialism. When this process is completed, many will find themselves ready to make preparation for the first of the initiations, and to undergo the new Birth. The disciples of the world are preparing for the second initiation, the Baptism, and for this must come a purification of the emotional desire nature and a dedication of the desire nature to the life of the soul. The initiates of the world are facing the Transfiguration initiation. Mind control and right orientation towards the soul, with a complete transmutation of the integrated personality, lies ahead of them.” (Alice Bailey) - 634 (Chap. 2)

• These five initiations will cover the last 3.5 years of the Tribulation period and correspond to events in the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.

1.    The Birth at Bethlehem. (Birthing of Corporate Christ/Manchild/New Man)

"The way into the kingdom is found by questioning and answering, by seeking and finding, and by the obedience to that inner voice which can be heard when all other voices are stilled. When that voice is heard we come to a consciousness of the possibilities ahead and take the initial step towards that first initiation which leads to Bethlehem, there to find and meet with Christ. Within ourselves we find God. In the cave of the heart the divine life can be felt throbbing. Man discovers himself to be one of a vast number who have undergone the same experience, and through the process of initiation he gives birth to the Christ. The 'infant life,' newborn into the kingdom of God, starts on the struggle and the experience which will lead him step by step from one initiation to another till he too has attained." "Christmas, or Noel, the day of regeneration in Druidic belief was originally a festival that announced the winter solstice." - 141:318

2.    The Baptism in Jordan. (Baptism of Fire/Planetary Pentecost)

"John the Baptist therefore gave the baptism of water which testified to the purification of the emotional nature, which must always be a preliminary step to the purification by fire...

"The baptism of John was a step upon the way into the center, and of more general application than is the baptism of Jesus, for few are ready yet for the second initiation. It is preparatory to that final baptism, for the purification of the emotional nature must precede in time the purification of the mental nature, just as in the evolution of the race (and of a child, likewise) the feeling, sentient man is first developed, and then the mind comes into active life. The baptism which Christ gives His followers concerns the purification of the mind by fire. Fire, under the universal symbolism of religion, is ever symbolic of the mind nature. • At the Planetary Pentecost, men will receive Lucifer's mark during an initiation rite that imitates the sealing by the Holy Spirit.

And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. - Rev. 13:16-18

3.    The Transfiguration on Mount Carmel. (Transfiguration/Divinization of the World)

"It is integration which Christ so fully exemplified, thus resolving the dualities of higher and lower in Himself, making 'of twain one new man,' (Eph. II, 15.) and it was this 'new man' which shone forth at the Transfiguration before the startled gaze of the three apostles. It is this basic integration or unification which religion should aim to produce, and it is this coordination between two fundamental aspects of human nature - the natural and the divine - which education should effect.

"Christ, as the Personality that healed the division in human nature, and Christ, as the synthesis of the higher and the lower aspects of divinity, is the glorious heritage of mankind today. This is what was revealed at the Transfiguration.

"Form, the result of active material processes, must express divinity, and the revelation of this is God's gift to us at the Transfiguration. Christ was 'very God of very God,' but He was also 'flesh of our flesh,' and in the interplay and the fusion of the two, God stood revealed in all His magnetic and radiant glory...

"When we, as human beings, realize the divine purpose, and come to regard our physical bodies as the means whereby the divine, indwelling Christ can be revealed, we shall gain a new vision of physical living and a renewed incentive for the proper care and treatment of the physical body. We shall cherish these bodies, through which we temporarily function, as the custodians of the divine revelation. We shall, each of us, regard them as the Virgin Mary regarded her body, as the repository of the hidden Christ, and we shall look forward to that momentous day when we, too, shall stand upon the Mount of Transfiguration, revealing the glory of the Lord through the medium of our bodies." 4.    The Crucifixion on Mount Golgotha. (Death of Mankind)

"After the third initiation, the Transfiguration, when the personality has been subordinated to the soul, or the indwelling Christ, and the glory of the Lord can shine forth through the medium of the flesh, we are faced with the supreme achievement of the Crucifixion and the Resurrection. Then, we are told, that mysterious Being, spoken of in the Old Testament as Melchizedek, and as the Ancient of Days, will play His part and initiate us into the still higher mysteries. Of Him we are told that:

"'This Melchizedek, King of Salem, Priest of the Most High God ...was, in the first place, as His Name means, King of Righteousness, and besides that, King of Salem (that is King of Peace). Being without father or mother or ancestry, having neither beginning of days nor end of life... He remains a priest in perpetuity.)' - Hebrews, VII, 1-4, Weymouth Translation.

"He is the One Who receives the initiate and superintends the higher transitions of consciousness which are the reward of the tests triumphantly undergone. He is the One Whose 'star shines forth' when the initiate enters into light." (Alice Bailey) - 634 (Chap. 2)

 

"...In the coming cycle, [Paul's] distorted teaching on death will assume its rightful place and be known as the disciplining urge to relinquishment and to the ending by death of the hold by matter over the soul... The emphasis in the future will be upon the 'livingness of the Christ nature'--the proof of which will be the Risen Christ--and upon the use of the will invoking this 'living display.'...

"One of the initial acts of the reappearing Christ and of the Hierarchy will be to erase this particular fear [of death] and to confirm in people's minds the idea that incarnation and the taking of a form is the true place of darkness to the divine spirit which is man; it is death to the spirit temporarily, and imprisonment. Evolution, men will be taught, is in itself an initiatory process leading from one living experience to another, culminating in the fifth Initiation of Revelation and in the seventh Initiation of Resurrection." 5.    The Resurrection and Ascension.  (Kingdom of God/Eternal State)

"The resurrection therefore might be defined as the persistence on into the future of that which is the divine aspect, and which is integrated with the life and consciousness of that sum total which we call God. That life and that consciousness flow through all parts of God's manifestation, the natural world. The kingdoms of nature have one by one evolved, and in so doing have expressed some aspect of His life as it informs and animates His creation. One by one, they have steadily progressed from the inert consciousness and slow, heavy rhythm of the mineral kingdom, and have revealed sequentially more and more of the hidden divine nature, until we come to man whose consciousness is of a much higher order and whose divine expression is that of the self-conscious, self-determined Deity. From automatic forms of consciousness, the life of God has carried the forms of life through sentient consciousness to the instinctive consciousness of the animal; then it has progressed on into the human kingdom, wherein self-consciousness holds sway, until the higher members of that kingdom begin to show a disposition towards divinity. The faint, dim signs of a still higher kingdom can now be seen, in which self-consciousness will give place to group-consciousness, and man will know himself to be identified with the Whole, and not to be simply a self-sufficient individual. Then the life of the whole body of God can flow consciously into and through him, and the life of God becomes his life and he is resurrected into life eternal." (Alice Bailey) - 634 (Chap. 6)

PREMISE

• At the resurrection, the Bride of Christ will have an intimate knowledge of God.
• At the Luciferic Initiation, the unsaved will acquire gnosis - knowledge of the deep things of Satan.

PROGRAM OF GOD

Pre-Flood Era: God forbade Adam to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Old Testament Period: God's people are not privy to all spiritual knowledge, but only to that which God has revealed in his Word.

Tribulation: At the resurrection of the Church, Christians will have an intimate knowledge of God.

PROGRAM OF SATANIC DUPLICATION

Pre-Flood Era: Satan tempted Adam to acquire gnosis, the forbidden knowledge of spiritual things.

Old Testament Period: Plato inspired Greek philosophy based on the mystery religion of Atlantis; Alexander the Great brought Platonism to  the Middle East; Neo-Platonism developed in the Gnostic academia of Alexandria, Egypt.

Church Age: Alexandrian Gnostics infiltrated the early churches with their false doctrines of Neo-Platonism. Gnosticism is the goal of the ecumenical movement.

Tribulation: Gnostic mysticism will be the basis for the final reformation of religion.

Great Tribulation: Gnostic mysticism will lead mankind into the Luciferic initiation with the delusion of becoming gods.

PRE-FLOOD ERA

• God forbade Adam to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil... And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.- Gen. 2:8,9,16,17

OLD TESTAMENT

• God's people are not privy to all spiritual knowledge, but only to that which God has revealed in his Word.

TRIBULATION / FIRST 3.5 YEARS

• At the resurrection of the Church, Christians will have an intimate knowledge of God.

For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. - I Cor. 13:9-12

    PROGRAM OF SATAN

Gnosticism is the belief that matter is evil and that emancipation comes through "gnosis" (knowledge). In other words, man can become a god through the immediate knowledge of the spiritual truth held by the ancient Gnostics.  The pursuit of gnosis is known in the occult as the 'Quest for the Holy Grail'. Gnosticism (aka mysticism) is Satanism synthesized with other religions, including Christianity and Judaism. Those who seek after gnosis will be led into Luciferian occultism, aka Saturnian gnosticism.

        PRE-FLOOD ERA

• The concept of gnosis has its roots in the Book of Genesis.

   

  And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. - Gen. 2:16

   

• Through the agency of Satan, man attempted to obtain the forbidden knowledge.

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. - Gen. 3:1-5

• The descendants of Adam and Eve intermarried with demons, producing a demonized civilization which God destroyed with a Flood.

And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.         OLD TESTAMENT PERIOD

• Plato inspired Greek philosophy based on the mystery religion of Atlantis, the demonic society destroyed in the Deluge.

Platonism: “…[T]he doctrine of Analogy [is]…an implicit correspondence between the appearance and reality, the microcosm of man and the macrocosm of the universe, the seen and the unseen worlds. In this, occultism finds the basis of its transcendental speculations. Quod superius sicut quod inferius [as above, so below]—first words of that Emerald Table which was once attributed to Hermes Trismegistus himself—is an axiom which must be agreeable to all Platonists. It plays a great part in the theory of mysticism; which, whilst maintaining an odd sense of the total ‘otherness’ and incomprehensibility of the Divine, has always assumed that the path of the individual soul towards loving union with the Absolute is somehow analogous with the path on which the universe moves to its consummation in God.” - 26:159

• The conquest of the Persian Empire by Alexander the Great extended the influence of Greek philosophy.

"...Alexander the Great (356-323 B.C.)... The Macedonian king conquered the Persian Empire and caused the Greek language and philosophy to be spread throughout much of the known world, including Egypt. [As we have learned, it was in the great city of Alexandria, Egypt that many Jews and early Christians came under the influence of Greek philosophy]..." - 737:81-2

        CHURCH AGE

For the MYSTERY of iniquity doth already work: only He who now letteth will let, until He be taken out of the way. - II.Thes. 2:7

• Christians and Jews living in Alexandria, Egypt blended Greek philosophy and astrology with Scripture, resulting in Neo-Platonism.

The esoteric tradition of Solomon spanned the centuries to the era of Gnostic Christianity which preceded the Merovingian Age. The Gnostics, whose texts referred to the Book of Solomon, were the inheritors of the early Jewish sects of Babylonia. Their form of Christianity was closely allied to the metaphysical doctrines of Plato and Pythagoras, with their creeds being largely founded upon astrology and cosmic awareness. - 722:272, ff.17

 

    "Early Christians in Alexandria, Egypt sought to fuse the teachings of Plato into Christianity in a philosophy known as 'Neo-Platonism.'  The Neo-Platonic teachers took Plato's basic philosophy on the essence of reason even further than he did. They taught that thought and being, each in their simple essence of truth, are one and the same. Therefore, they taught that one could attain union with God by contemplation.

    "Philo (c.20 B.C.-A.D. 50), who was born into a leading Jewish family in Alexandria, sought to reconcile Greek philosophy, especially Platonism, with Judaism. While he sought to achieve this reconciliation, he became known as the father of Neo-Platonism, especially among Christians." - 737:49

Neoplatonism: The philosophy of a group of thinkers of the early Christian Era who endeavored to reconcile the teachings of Plato and Aristotle with Oriental conceptions. -779

“Neoplatonism was the last of the great schools of Classical pagan philosophy. A synthesis of Platonism, Aristotlism, Stoicism, and Pythagoreanism, which provided an esoteric interpretation of classical Greek Paganism, it incorporated philosophy, mysticism, theosophy, and theurgy (higher occultism). For three centuries it served as a last bastion of Pagan wisdom and Esoteric philosophy in an increasingly hostile Christian dominated empire. Even after the light of Classical Learning was extinguished, the Neoplatonic current remained, undergoing new metamorphoses, in Christian Mysticism, Islamic Philosophy, Ishraqi and Sufi Esotericism, and Judaic Kabbalah.” - 809

• Early on the churches in Asia Minor also became infected with Gnosticism, i.e. the deep things of Satan.

Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden. - Rev. 2:20-24

"Thyatira was founded by one of Alexander the Great's successors, Seleucus, as a military outpost guarding the north-south road. For defense this colony of Macedonian soldiers were planted at Thyatira between 300 and 282 B.C. It therefore became an important garrison city . It later changed hands, and came under the rule of Lysimachus, who ruled Pergamum. Thyatira became known as the gateway to Pergamum...

"'One might speculate that [Jezebel]  may have espoused the philosophical dualism so prevalent in contemporary Greek philosophy. When brought into the church, that teaching held that the spirit is good, and all flesh is evil. Since God is only interested in the spirit, its purveyors falsely argued, it doesn't matter what one does with one's body...'

"This type of false teaching is likely what was taking place in Thyatira and had already begun to infiltrate the church by the time of this writing. The content of this teaching with Greek philosophical dualism and antinomianism which is often referred to as an incipient form of what would later be called Gnosticism had already been addressed by Paul in his letter to the church in Colossae, by John in 1 John, and by Jude." - 803

• St. Augustine, father of Roman Catholicism, institutionalized Neo-Platonism in the Church.

   “Drawing on Pythagorean, Aristotelian, and Stoic sources, more than on Plato, Neoplatonism formed a significant school of thought until the conquest of Egypt by the Muslims in 629 [A.D.] and continued as a major influence in Western thought mainly through its impact on Augustine (354-430) and through him on subsequent Christian theology and philosophy.  

    “In Neoplatonic thought, being emanates from the One or the Good.  From the One comes the realms of Nous, of Soul, and then of Matter, which represents a falling away toward non-being or nothingness.  Some souls remain unembodied and are not contaminated by incarnation. Human souls exist as embodied and are called to turn away from Matter as evil and ascend toward knowledge of and ecstatic union with the One.” - 234:734

• The basis of Gnostic mysticism is direct revelation; communication with familiar spirits was cultivated by the early monastic communities.

"Led by the rise and the popularity of the monastic lifestyle, contemplative prayer has found its way into the Christian community, providing instructions on 'how to hear God's voice - for those who are seeking 'deeper truths'...' Since Christ has been resurrected and has not stopped 'speaking, teaching, and acting', then surely he communicates with His people today in an 'audible voice'." 24:111

• Gnostic mysticism is also the religion of the occult (Satanism, Saturn worship, Druidism, Kabbalism).

"The religion  is Saturnian gnosis -- which turns out to simply be a rehash of the gnosticism the high level Satanists believe in." - 49:160

"Saturn is an important key to understanding the long heritage this conspiracy [of Power] has back to antiquity. The city of Rome was originally known as Saturnia or City of Saturn.  The Roman Catholic Church retains much of the Saturn worship in its ritual. Saturn also relates to Lucifer.  In various occult dictionaries Saturn is associated with evil. Saturn was important to the religion of Mithra, and also the Druids." - 77:151

"A great misfortune befell Christianity. The betrayal of the Mysteries by the false Gnostics--for the Gnostics, that is, those who know, were the Initiates of primitive Christianity--caused the Gnosis to be rejected, and alienated the Church from the supreme truths of the Kabbala, which contain all the secrets of transcendental theology. Let the most absolute science, let the highest reason, become once more the patrimony of the leaders of the people; let the sacerdotal art and the royal art take the double sceptre of antique initiations, and the social world will once more issue from its chaos." "On page 26 of Moral and Dogma - the most esteemed work of Freemasonry - [Albert] Pike states, 'The Kabalah is the key of the occult sciences; and the Gnostics were born of the Kabalists." - 233:249

"A.E. Waite...cites an earlier author Godfrey Higgins who, in his work The Celtic Druids, describes the Culdees as Gnostics. This is undoubtedly true, as it is almost certain that the Culdees were gnostics as were the Druids before them." - 266:79-80

• The process of acquiring 'Gnosis' is known in the occult societies as the search for the Holy Grail.

"The powers that be do not seem to want us to know of our origins for some reason and they certainly do not want us to know that we are divine. So the crime against humanity is that our birthright has been hidden from us and we could make the analogy of the wounded child who did not know who his parents were and his never ending search for his roots an analogy for the search for the ‘Grail’." - 732

PERVERSION OF SCRIPTURE

• The Septuagint, the Greek Old Testament which underlies modern versions, renders the word for "knowledge" in Gen. 2:16 as "gnosis".

And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. - Gen. 2:16

Church Age: The apostate Church and secret societies embraced the divinity of man doctrine. The twin heresies of the deification of man and divinization / transfiguration of the world are finding their way into Christianity via the Eastern Orthodox Church.

Tribulation: The Eastern Orthodox Church, which historically has taught the deification of man (Theosis), will be the point of entry to the worship of Antichrist for Protestants and Roman Catholics whose theologians and apologists will defend the Orthodox doctrine of Theosis.

Great Tribulation: The Antichrist will be worshipped as God; his worshippers will believe they can also be deified.

"The ten kingdoms of Atlantis are perpetuated in all the ancient traditions... The Chinese count ten emperors, partaking of the divine nature, before the dawn of historical times." - 635:26-27

• Kings of ancient pagan cultures and their world empires were thought to be divine.

“The divinity of Deus-Pater, or God the Father, or Jupiter, was associated with the divinity of the [Roman] emperor, with the divinity of the Roman empire itself.” - 270:150

• Pagans believed and passed on to posterity the doctrine of the divinity of man.

"The word Huma in the Persian language stands for a fabulous bird. There is a belief that if the Huma bird sits for a moment on the head of anybody it is a sign that he will become a king. Its true explanation is, that when a man's thoughts so evolve that they break all limitation, then he becomes as a king. It is the limitation of language that it can only describe the Most High as something like a king. It is said in the old traditions that Zoroaster was born of a Huma tree. This explains the words in the Bible, 'Except a man be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God.' In the word Huma, hu represents spirit, and the word mah in Arabic means water. In English the word 'human' explains two facts which are characteristic of humanity: Hu means God and man means mind, which word comes from the Sanskrit Mana, mind being the ordinary man. The two words united represent the idea of the God-conscious man; in other words Hu, God, is in all things and beings, but it is man by whom he is known. Human therefore may be said to mean God-conscious, God-realized, or God-man. The word Hamd means praise, Hamid, praiseworthy, and Muhammad, praiseful. The name of the Prophet of Islam was significant of his attitude to God." - 1129

        CHURCH AGE

• Certain early Church Fathers subtly promoted the deification of man doctrine.

“There is a wealth of literature showing that many of the early fathers, many of whom even Protestants appeal to as authoritative on certain matters of faith, were proponents of this doctrine in their writings. For example, Athanasius, the great defender of Trinitarian orthodoxy in the 4th century, wrote concerning Christ in his treatise On the Incarnation of the Word of God, ‘He was made man that we might be gods.’ St. Irenaeus, the great bishop of the early second century, wrote, ‘If the Word is made man, it is that men might become gods.’ St. Hilary of Poitiers, the great mid-fourth century theologian of the West, also known as the ‘Athanasius of the West,’ wrote in his treatise On the Trinity that Christ came to earth  ‘that man might become God.’ In the fifth century St. Jerome wrote,  ‘That we are gods is not so by nature, but by grace. But to as many as receive Him he gave power of becoming sons of God.’ Tertullian, who died in the early third century wrote,

‘Truth, however maintains the unity of God in such a way as to insist that whatever belongs to God Himself belongs to Him alone. For so will it belong to Himself if it belong to Him alone; and therefore it will be impossible that another god should be admitted, when it is permitted to no other being to possess anything of God. Well, then, you say, we ourselves at that rate possess nothing of God. But indeed we do, and shall continue to do—only it is from Him that we receive it, and not from ourselves. For we shall be even gods, if we, shall deserve to be among those of whom He declared, ‘I have said, Ye are gods,’ and ‘God standeth in the congregation of the gods.’ But this comes of His own grace, not from any property in us, because it is He alone who can make gods.’ [Against Hermogenes] 

“St. Augustine, the most favored ancient father of the West, wrote in his Sermons, ‘He who was God was made man to make gods those who were men’ (192.1); and, ‘God wishes to make you a god, not by nature like him whom he begat, but by his gift and adoption. For as he through humanity became partaker of your mortality, so through exaltation he makes you partaker of his immortality’ (166.4). In the last chapter of The City of God Augustine wrote, ‘We ourselves shall become that seventh day [i.e. the eternal Sabbath], when we have been replenished and restored by His blessing and sanctification. There we shall have leisure to be still, and we shall see that He is God, whereas we wished to be that ourselves when we fell away from Him, after listening to the seducer saying: You will be like gods. Then we abandoned the true God, by whose creative help we should have become gods, but by participating in Him, not by deserting Him.’ Lastly we have, It is clear that He (i.e. God) calls men gods through their being deified by His grace and not born of His substance. For He justifies, who is just of Himself and not of another; and He deifies, who is God of Himself and not by participation in another. Now He who justifies, Himself deifies, because by justifying He makes sons of God. For to them gave He power to become the sons of God. If we are made sons of God, we are also made gods; but this is by grace of adoption, and not by generation." - 601

• Man supposedly becomes divine through mystical contemplation and spiritual initiation.

"[Peter Roche] De Coppens says that the divinity of man whose spiritual initiation is the 'Great Work' that is the central objective of the 'Ageless Wisdom'." - 200:124

• The heresies of the deification of man and divinization/transfiguration of the world - instead of individual salvation and resurrection of the body - are central doctrines of the Eastern Orthodox Church, as well as the Knights Templars.

"...the doctrine of Theosis, 'that God was made man so that man might become God', became a central part of Orthodox belief and practice." - 368:191-2

"While the concept of theosis has roots in the ante-Nicene period, it is not an antiquated historical curiosity. The idea of divinization, of redeemed human nature somehow participating in the very life of God, is found to a surprising extent throughout Christian history, although it is practically unknown to the majority of Christians (and even many theologians) in the West. In Orthodox theology, however, it is the controlling doctrine. Furthermore, 'it is not too much to say that the divinization of humanity is the central theme, chief aim, basic purpose, or primary religious ideal of Orthodoxy.' With the growing interest in Eastern Orthodox/Evangelical rapprochement, it is essential that theosis studies be pursued. Evangelicals may receive considerable benefit from a clear understanding and judicious appropriation of the doctrine. This is so particularly in light of the crying need for a robust, biblical theology of the Christian life that will refute and replace the plethora of false spiritualities [true doctrine] plaguing Church and society." - 579 (quoting Daniel B. Clendenin, Eastern Orthodox Christianity: A Western Perspective, Grand Rapids: Baker, 1994, p. 120)

• The Eastern Orthodox Church and its esoteric teachings are misrepresented as genuine Christianity by certain Apologetics and Discernment Ministries.

    "It may be objected that to classify as monotheistic any doctrine which refers to men in some positive sense as 'gods' is self-contradictory; and strictly speaking such an objection is valid. Indeed, later in this study it shall be argued that such terminology is not biblical. However, the point here is that however inconsistent and confusing the language that is used (and it is inconsistent), the substance of what the Eastern Orthodox are seeking to express when they speak of deification is actually faithful to the monotheistic world view. The language used is polytheistic, and in the light of Scripture should be rejected; but the doctrine intended by this language in the context of the teachings of the fathers and of Eastern Orthodoxy is quite biblical, and is thus not actually polytheistic.
    "Thus, it should not be argued that anyone who speaks of 'deification' necessarily holds to a heretical view of man. Such a sweeping judgment would condemn many of the early church's greatest theologians (e.g., Athanasius, Augustine), as well as one of the three main branches of historic orthodox Christianity in existence today. On the other hand, some doctrines of deification are most certainly heretical, because they are unbiblical in substance as well as in terminology." "In the Eastern Orthodox Church a greater emphasis is placed on deification, but it remains distinct from the Mormon doctrine. The Eastern Orthodox emphasize renewal in the image and likeness of God in sharing His communicable attributes such as knowledge (Col. 3:10), righteousness, and true holiness (Eph. 4:24). But an Orthodox writer explains: 'This does not mean that human beings are able to become God in his essence. But it does mean that they can become 'gods' by grace even as they remain creatures of a human nature.'" (Gordon Lewis, Founder of Evangelical Ministries to New Religions/ EMNR) - 604:33

"Xenos originated during the so-called 'Jesus Movement' of the late 60's and early 70's... Xenos leaders, having been allied to Campus Crusade staff, eventually broke with them and adopted the Eastern Orthodox tradition as the 'truest expression of the Body of Christ'. Today they have become Eastern Orthodox bishops, while Xenos has continued to develop the ideals they taught earlier, including a return to primitive Christianity as seen in the New Testament." (Tricia Tillin, Banner Ministries) - 602

    "...Christianity possesses an inner tradition that has never been common knowledge in the Western world. This Esoteric Christianity was once known as the 'Royal Way' and has barely survived except in places like the monasticism of the Eastern Church.... "In another of Dr. Muller's books, 'Decide to Be', we are given a glimpse into the 'spirituality' that the Interfaith Movement is building through the offices of the United Nations. One passage reads: 'Decide to open yourself to God, to the Universe, to all your brethren and sisters, to your inner self... to the potential of the human race, to the infinity of your inner self, and you will become the universe... you will become infinity, and you will be at long last your real, divine, stupendous self'." - 503:551

Thus it is a covenant creating a union between humanity and the divinity that makes humanity possess God and vice versa. It establishes an identity between humanity and God by which everything is held in common between them, apart from the difference of nature. So the identification takes place of which Paul speaks: 'It is no longer I who lives but Christ who lives in me.' Gal. 2:20. The deification which is the aim of all religious life takes place... "Eastern Orthodox Christianity - which has never forsaken the Cosmic Christ as has the West - considers the feast of the Transfiguration to be the pivotal point of the liturgical year... The Eastern Orthodox tradition, as represented by theologian Nicolas Berdyaev, celebrates some of the implications of a Cosmic Christ theology of the Transfiguration. Berdyaev writes: 'The central idea of the Eastern Fathers was that of Theosis, the divinization of all creatures, the transfiguration of the world, the idea of the cosmos and not the idea of personal salvation... Only later Christian consciousness began to value the idea of hell more than the idea of the transfiguration and divinization of the world... The kingdom of God is the transfiguration of the world, universal resurrection, a new heaven and a new earth.'" - 180:102-3

Church Age: The apostate churches present Scripture as myths in order to introduce Christians to occultism.

Tribulation: Esoteric Christianity will present the book of Revelation as the fulfillment of mythology, which will be promulgated to promote worship of the pre-flood false gods of Genesis 6:4 - the occult heroes.

"Though marriage customs varied in the ancient world, usually there were three major aspects: (1) The marriage contract was often consummated by the parents when the parties to the marriage were still children and not ready to assume adult responsibility. The payment of a suitable dowry was often a feature of the contract. When consummated, the contract meant that the couple were legally married. (2) At a later time when the couple had reached a suitable age, the second step in the wedding took place. This was a ceremony in which the bridegroom accompanied by his friends would go to the house of the bride and escort her to his home. This is the background of the parable of the virgins in Matthew 25:1-13. (3) Then the bridegroom would bring his bride to his home and the marriage supper, to which guests were invited, would take place...

"The marriage symbolism is beautifully fulfilled in the relationship of Christ to His church. The wedding contract is consummated at the time the church is redeemed. Every true Christian is joined to Christ in a legal marriage. When Christ comes for His church at the rapture, the second phase of the wedding is fulfilled, namely, the Bridegroom goes to receive His bride. The third phase then follows, that is, the wedding feast. Here it is significant to note that the bride is already the wife of the Lamb, that is, the Bridegroom has already come for His bride prior to His second coming described in [Rev.] 19:11-16. Epiphanius (305-402) gave us a detailed description of how the Alexandrian Gnostics celebrated the Epiphany. They did this in the sanctuary of the Maiden Goddess Kore whom they equated with the image of the Holy Virgin. At midnight they descended with torches into the crypt of the temple and brought the wooden statue of Kore forth in procession. The Maiden was represented naked and sitting, with crosses marked on her brow, her hands and her knees. The statue was carried seven times around the central shrine and was then retired to the crypt once more. The Gnostics said that on this day, Kore, the Virgin, gave birth to the divine principle known as the Christ. It is from the feminine intuitive consciousness and feeling nature that the messianic power, of individuated consciousness is born. Thus the human nature of Jesus or Everyman is transformed into divine and spiritual nature by the holy female power, the Holy Spirit, in the initiation rite of baptism." - 834

"431: The Third Ecumenical Council at Ephesus condemns the Nestorian heresy and approves the veneration of the Virgin Mary as Theotokos (God-Bearer or Mother of God). The Nestorians go into exile in the Persian Empire and become the Assyrian Orthodox Church of the East." - 895

"Catholics claim that no serious question was raised about Mary's sinlessness after the Council of Ephesus in AD 431 which declared Mary to be 'God bearer, Mother of God'. What is not explained is the reason why no questions (according to the RCC) were raised after the council. It is clearly documented that Nestorius, bishop of Constantinople, was declared a heretic and exiled because he rejected the popular title given to Mary (Mother of God). The church would claim that Nestorius made it appear, in his emphasis on the reality of the humanity of Jesus, that Christ was two persons or 'two sons' the son of Mary and the son of God. Interestingly, the writings of Ignatius, a disciple of the apostle John and bishop of Antioch, declared a similar thought, 'Mary is presented as Mother of Christ according to his human nature, as the heavenly Father is his Father according to his divine nature (To the Ephesians)', with the same purpose to refute heretical thinking, and yet he is not declared a heretic. Nestorius was declared a heretic based power politics and his denial of Mary as God-bearer, not on Christology. Nestorius was refuting heretical ideas that Christ was not flesh, only deity. In his autobiography, he insisted that he did not oppose the title 'God-bearer' because he denied the Godhead of Christ, but rather to distinguish that Jesus was a genuine human being born with a body and soul. He insisted that calling Mary 'God-bearer, Mother of God' was to declare that God could be born of a woman. Parents pre-exist their children, yet Mary a mortal woman could not pre-exist God; in fact the paradox remains clear to this day that Jesus the son of Mary pre-existed Mary. Yet with the reign of Constantine, the church had gained power, and so no serious questions would be raised outwardly, without the backing of the majority, once that power had been exercised on Nestorius." - 849

"Parallel to the... religious phenomena of the apparition of the Virgin (in the 20th century in Fatima), there is a sociological phenomenon which shocked the world. The sexual revolution, the emancipation of women by means of equal rights and duties and birth control. In the cult of Inanna [Diana] we saw that sacred prostitution was the act which re-established the original androgyny. This cult returns in the 12th century, presenting Magdalene as the 'repentant prostitute'. Later on, she and Saint Mary the Egyptian are venerated as Black Madonnas. This need to reconcile sexuality and religion, as in the beginning of the cult to the Mother Earth Goddess became the greatest legacy of the Black Madonna and grants her the power of integrating the opposites. Her return to the first level of collective consciousness assumes the fall of patriarchal rigidity. Tolerantly regarding the search for the pleasure of life, of happiness and the care for the subtle female qualities, it deceives the male hypocritical laws. Politically, it is in favor of freedom and dignity of the people. Its most important function is to be able to join Justice and Charity, qualities by which the Black Madonnas are venerated by mankind. Like the Holy Ghost, the female part of God, she is the consolation of the Afflicted, and she appears mysteriously where the people suffer more and need more support, as proved by these apparitions:...

"By worshiping the Black Madonna we are receiving the gifts of the Holy Ghost who, it should be reminded, are clear-sightedness, polyglottism, 'clairaudience', inspired teachings and the expulsion of evil spirits (black magic). With these gifts, from the Inanna Goddess to the Holy Virgin, the Black Madonna comes to us as a symbol of the integration/resolution of the opposites. And her secret and her power is the transmutation of our internal moon (soul) into our internal sun (spirit) in an eternal alchemy." - 844

• The following movements will be points of entry for Christian and Jewish apostates to become the bride of Lucifer.

• Charismatic Movement: Lucifer will pose as the Holy Spirit who 'impregnates' the Church.

"But now is the time of the overshadowing, when the manchild church is being brought forth within the woman church...

"...Mary was overshadowed by the Holy Ghost and brought forth Jesus Christ, the son of God. The church is being overshadowed by the Holy Ghost again to bring forth the Christ in us, not in a physical sense, as with Mary who had a natural child, but in the spiritual sense, where we shall bring forth the fruit of the soul and not the fruit of the womb...

"In order to be filled with the divine nature, we must be overshadowed by the divine.... The Song of Solomon speaks of the love between Christ and the church, and the final act of planting the seed of life within the soul, the womb of the church. This is God's divine order of bringing forth life...

"It takes male and female to bring forth life. CHRIST THE MALE and the church the female are necessary for the bringing forth of seed. • Reformed Movement: Allegorical interpretation of Revelation promotes Merovingian myth that Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene were man and wife, the new Adam who redeems the new Eve, who is the Virgin/Great Whore Goddess.

"The Gospel concludes with a woman and Jesus in an earthly garden (John 20:15).  Jesus tells Mary that He must ascend to His Father (John 20:17).  Revelation concludes with the bride descending from the Father to be received by her Groom (Rev 21:9-10), coming to a heavenly garden with the river of crystal and the tree of life (Rev 22:1-2).  The Gospel's picture of the bride, corresponding to the bride of Revelation, is Mary Magdalene.  Now the choice of this Mary to represent the bride is remarkable due to her reputation within the Christian community as the one from whom the Lord had cast out seven demons (Luke 8:2).  Consequently, one who had known every form of demonic defilement (cf. Luke 11:26) is chosen by John to represent the bride of Jesus. When read thematically in parallel with Revelation, the redemption of Mary Magdalene is juxtaposed to the redemption of the whore of Babylon, who becomes the bride of Christ.  Once again, the parallel maintains a perfect thematic equipoise with Revelation. The marriage imagery in the Gospel is an implicit Adam typology, with the Lord awakening in the garden tomb as a new Adam.  His wounded side (John 19:34) having been healed, Jesus beholds Mary Magdalene, who has become the new Eve." - 829

• Jewish Mysticism: New Adam/New Eve typology is the Kabalistic archetype of the androgynous Adam Kadmon (Second Adam and New Eve).

"Man, who is the microcosmos of the macrocosmos, or of the archetypal heavenly man, Adam Kadmon, is likewise a trinity; for he is body, soul, and spirit.

"'All that is created by the 'Ancient of the Ancients' can live and exist only by a male and a female,' says the Sohar. He alone, to whom no one can say, 'Thou,' for he is the spirit of the White-Head in whom the 'Three Heads' are united, is uncreated. The Eva of dust, she who will be called in Genesis 'the mother of all that live,' is within Adam the Second. It will manifest itself only as Shekinah, the Grace: for the Cornoa is 'the innermost Light of all Lights,' and hence it is darkness's own substance.

"In the Kabala, Shekinah is the ninth emanation of Sephira, which contains the whole of the ten Sephiroth within herself. She belongs to the third triad and is produced together with Malchuth or 'Kingdom,' of which she is the female counterpart. Otherwise she is held to be higher than any of these; for she is the 'Divine Glory,' the 'veil,' or 'garment,' of Ein Soph. The Jews, whenever she is mentioned in the Targum, say that she is the glory of Jehovah, which dwelt in the tabernacle, manifesting herself like a visible cloud; the 'Glory' rested over the Mercy-Seat in the Sanctum Sanctorum." "Many Kabbalists conceive of God as embodying both male and female energies, which were divided during creation as part of the process of emanation. They speak of the shekhinah, which in traditional Judaism means the divine presence on earth, as the feminine aspect or mystical bride of God. And they often use language as a means to analyze such mysteries, as in this excerpt from a contemporary non-Jewish Kabbalist which offers an explanation for the mysterious use of the plural form for God early in the Bible:

"The Hebrew word used to denominate God in Genesis is Elohim. This word is a plural formed from the feminine singular ALH (Eloh) by adding IM to it. Since IM is the termination of the masculine plural, added to a feminine noun it makes ELOHIM a female potency united to a male principle, and thus capable of having an offspring. The same intended misconception is given in the Christian idea of the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost. In the Kabbalah the Deity manifests simultaneously as Mother and Father and thus begets the Son. We are told that the Holy Spirit is essentially masculine, but the Hebrew word used in the Scriptures to denote spirit is Ruach, a feminine noun. GREAT TRIBULATION / GOLDEN AGE

• The end of the sacred marriage rite will be the demon possession of the Esoteric Church which will receive Lucifer, as the Bridegroom, and his mark, the Six-Pointed Star, in the Age of the Spirit.

"That Gnostic Gospel [of Philip] lists five initiatory rites or sacraments: baptism, chrism (anointing), eucharist, redemption -- and the highest of all, 'the bridal chamber': 'The chrism is superior to baptism...and Christ is (so) called because of the chrism... He who is anointed possesses the All. He possesses the resurrection, the light, the Cross, the Holy Spirit. The Father gave him this in the bridal chamber." - 242:262

          21-I.  BAPTISM OF FIRE (Planetary Pentecost)

PREMISE

• At the end of the Great Tribulation, God will pour the Holy Spirit upon Israel, as He did at Pentecost, to fulfill the latter rain promise of Joel's prophecy.
• At the beginning of the Golden Age, the False Prophet will cause fire to come down from heaven to falsely fulfill Joel's prophecy of a latter rain outpouring.

PROGRAM OF GOD

Old Testament Period: God promised the Holy Spirit to Israel in the latter days; John the Baptist prophesied the baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire.

Church Age (beg): At Pentecost, God sent the Holy Spirit from heaven in the form of tongues of fire.

Tribulation Period: Fire will proceed out of the mouths of God's two witnesses.

Great Tribulation (end): God will pour the Holy Spirit upon Israel, as He did at Pentecost, to fulfill the latter rain promise of Joel's prophecy.

The Millennium (end): God will send fire from heaven to consume His enemies.

CHURCH AGE (beginning)

• At Pentecost, God sent the Holy Spirit from heaven in the appearance of tongues of fire.

And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. • Peter indicated that Pentecost was a partial fulfillment of Joel 2:28-31.

But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. • Fire will proceed out of the mouths of the two witnesses to devour their enemies.

• God will fulfill the 'latter rain' promise of the Holy Spirit to Israel.

Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. "Baptism of Fire. It is clear from the immediate context of this reference (Matt. 3:9-12; Luke 3:16,17) and from the general testimony of Scripture, that this baptism of fire is connected with judgment at the second advent of Christ as the baptism with the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:5 with 11:16) is connected with grace flowing from the death, resurrection, and ascension at His first advent. As John F. Walvoord correctly observes, 'While the Church Age is introduced with the baptism of the Spirit, the Kingdom Age is to be introduced with a baptism of fire...'." - 299:144

MILLENNIUM (end)

• God will send fire from heaven to consume His enemies.

And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. - Rev. 20:7-9

"...the Egyptians and Phoenicians believed that the phoenix was the representation of a god who 'rose to heaven in the form of a morning star, like Lucifer, after his fire-immolation of death and rebirth. One former witch explains:

'...Most occultists believe that the Phoenix is a symbol of Lucifer who was cast down in flames and who (they think) will one day rise triumphant. This, of course, also relates to the raising of Hiram Abiff, the Masonic 'christ'...

"The eagle (also called the Bird of Jove) is frequently identified with the phoenix. As is well known, the eagle is used extensively in Masonry. In a Masonic Bible was the question: 'What is the symbolism of the Eagle in Freemasonry?' The answer given was: 'The eagle has been a symbol among the different peoples of the world from time immemorial. In Egypt, Greece, and Persia it was sacred to the sun; among pagans it was the emblem of Jupiter; among the Druids it was the symbol of their supreme god.'" - 39:122-24

• When King Solomon prayed to dedicate the Temple, fire came down from heaven.

Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house. And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. - II Chron. 7:1-3

       CHURCH AGE

• Gnostic occultists believe that Lucifer was redeemed and transformed into the Holy Spirit.

"The Manichaean tradition knows that the Holy Ghost is the transformed Lucifer and the dove is the transformed serpent; and that the Grail was once formed from the precious stone in the crown of Lucifer and was filled with the blood of Christ who redeems Lucifer himself. This is the real Grail mystery. Through the eating of the fruit from the tree in paradise, man has fallen. Through partaking of the Grail, he is raised again. This is the meaning of the Lord's supper." - 126:193

• Gnostic occultists undergo initiations that correspond to events in the life of Jesus Christ.

"Only through the revelation of the Christ within each human being can this at-one-ment be made. Only through the new birth, the baptism of spirit and of fire, and the transfiguration of the nature can deliverance be found, can unity with God be achieved. • Pentecost - the baptism of the Holy Spirit - was the high feast of King Arthur's Court and the Knights Templar.

"The great festival of the Templars was Pentecost, day of the Holy Spirit, as opposed to Easter or Christmas. Pentecost is also the high feast of the Arthurian Grail legends. The Cathars saw the coming of Jesus as just a stage, prefiguring the coming of the Holy Spirit." - 272:108

"Grace is the meaning of the Grail. It's first apparition therefore came in the city of Jerusalem itself, on the eve of Pentecost when baptism occurred as the Holy Ghost descended in fire on the Apostles. John the Baptist had predicted it. Thus, Pentecost remained King Arthur's holy day... The reward of [Grail] Questers is such an experience, an 'open sight' of God... Both Perceval and Galahad...wore red to symbolize the fires of baptism, those flames always seen by witnesses and participants after full Grail Procession." - 653:333-334

• The Eastern Orthodox feast of Epiphany (January 6) commemorates the baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist.

“Epiphany was traditionally a Christian feast to celebrate the 'shining forth' or revelation of God to humanity in human form, in the person of Jesus Christ. It included the birth of Jesus Christ; the visit of the three Magi, Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar arrived in Bethlehem; and all of Jesus' childhood events, up to his baptism in the Jordan by John the Baptist. The feast was initially based on, and viewed as a fulfillment of, the Jewish Feast of Lights. This was fixed on January 6, but over time the western churches decided to celebrate Christmas on December 25. The eastern churches continued to treat 6th January as the day marking Jesus's birth. This has given rise in the west to the notion of a twelve day festival, starting on 25th December, and ending on 6th January, called the twelve days of Christmas.

“Today in Eastern Orthodox churches, the emphasis at this feast is on the shining forth and revelation of Jesus Christ as the Messiah and second person of the Holy Trinity at the time of his baptism. It is one of the great feasts of the liturgical year." - 835

• Gnostics, including the Orthodox, celebrate the feast of Epiphany as a spiritual initiation leading to revelation of the divinity of man.

"Epiphany is from the Greek words epi, upon, and phainein, to show. Its meaning is a manifestation, and in the Christian mythos this manifestation occurs at the time of the baptism of Jesus by John the Baptizer. In the earlier centuries of Christianity, Epiphany was considered to be more important than Christmas, even by the so-called orthodox church. In 447 AD, Pope Leo wrote in his 18th Epistle to the bishops of Sicily about Epiphany.
    "He called it the festival when the Savior is reborn through the descent of the Holy Spirit, and states that the Church Fathers regard this second birth as more important than the first. It seems that the symbolism of the two births, well known to the ancient world and to the early Christians, does not deal only with the person of Jesus but also with the life of every person. We are all born into a physical body, but unless we undergo this second birth in the spirit, our lives will have been in vain. The Epiphany, or showing forth of the inner person, is a spiritual initiation into the mystery of the inner life of the soul, which brings the revelation of the innate divinity of man. It is the discovery of the hero-god resident within our own natures, the recognition on the part of the personality that we are the beloved Sons and Daughters of our Divine Parent in whom the Godhead is well pleased. - 834

        GREAT TRIBULATION / GOLDEN AGE

• When Satan, the Dragon, is cast out of heaven, false teachers and prophets will claim that he is the Holy Spirit descending on mankind.

And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. - Rev. 12:7-9

• The False Prophet will cause fire to come down from heaven, a phenomenon which will be promoted as the Planetary Pentecost.

And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, - Rev. 13:11-13

"Satan always wanted a substitute religion. a. 'I will be like the most high' (Isa. 14:14). b. 'The man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition...who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God,...so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God' (II Thess. 2:3-4).c. Substitute Trinity, Satan, antichrist, and false prophet. 3. Future Babylon is the apostate church. a. • The baptism of the unholy spirit will be an apparition of Lucifer on the Gnostic feast of Pentecost (Epiphany).

    “Christ gives us a definite picture of the entire process in His own life story, built around those major initiations which are our universal heritage and the glorious (and for many) the immediate opportunity. These are: 1. The Birth at Bethlehem, to which Christ called Nicodemus, saying, 'Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.' (St. John, III, 3.) 2. The Baptism in Jordan. This is the baptism to which John the Baptist referred us, telling us that the baptism of the Holy Spirit and of fire must be administered to us by Christ. (St. Matt., III, 11.)...

• During the Planetary Pentecost, Lucifer posing as the Holy Spirit and demons posing as God's angels will administer the mark of the beast--in the form of an occult cross--on the foreheads of apostate Christians.

"In a service that was actually led by Wes Campbell, Marc DuPont felt led to 'move in the prophetic,' calling selected men forward to be 'ambassadors for the Kingdom of God' to other pastors and leaders in the Body of Christ because 'it's not a Vineyard message it's a kingdom message, what God is doing.'

"'Many leaders are going to be greatly shaken, I think that means not just theologically, but as already happening, many are being shaken in the spirit, it's happening quickly, talk about paradigm shifts, many people are just losing their paradigms and that's what needs to happen ... I believe God wants to put a mark on many of you, even right now ... He wants to put a mark upon you, I believe the Lord is going to start challenging you to contact other pastors and leaders that you've had relationship with in the past where maybe there's been rocky turmoil things ... I believe the Lord is going to put a mark on some of you and He's going to put a burden within you for some other pastors, Lutheran, Baptist, whatever ... We're going to, uh, I see in the Spirit the angel, an angel, I don't know if it's the angel of the Lord, but angels are going to come and the Holy Spirit is going to put a cross on some of you...'

"I spoke enough of DuPont here and in another place to let you know enough about him. I'll close with a little comment on his 'mystical' ministry practices. On a tape featuring Wes Campbell, Marc is called forward to pray for a few of the pastors. In the ministry time, Marc proclaims that he is 'placing a mark' on them, prophetically!" - 848
