DEVELOPMENT OF "FESTIVALNY" TIN AND COPPER DEPOSIT 

INITIATOR OF THE PROJECT: 

• Department of Natural Resources of the Khabarovsk Krai Administartion. Address: K.Marx Street # 56, Khabarovsk, Russia, 680000.
• Major shareholders: Government of Khabarovsk Krai

  PROJECT INFORMATION: 

• The target of the Project is to increase the capacity of tin and copper mines.
• Deposit stocks: 9,205 thousand tons of ore, including 69.1 thousand MT of tin and 147.3 thousand MT of copper.
• Project's Readiness: technical documentation is developped in 1998. The project is part of the Russian National Program of Technical Refurbishment of Metallurgical Industries.
• Markets: Tin - Russia, South Korea, Japan, Netherland. Copper concentrate - China.

FINANCIAL DATA OF THE PROJECT: 

• Required Investment : US$ 18.0 million loan for 10 years.
• Forms of Cooperation: Joint Venture and loan (at 12% interest and less).
• Target of investment: Construction works and technologies.
• Guarantees: negotiated. Mortgage is possible.
• Financial Data: Sales - US$ 31.41 million per year until 2003, net profit - US$ 2.27 million per year. Stocks of ore for 15 years of operation are available.
• Return Period: 8.0 years.
• Profitability: 46.4 %
• Forms of Investments Return: Money and production.
