I was born in NE Oklahoma close to Will Rogers' birthplace plus sharing his birthday. I was a P.B. (preacher's brat). After graduating, I joined the U.S. Navy taking electronics. I was landlocked in OK and TN with Monterey, CA being the closest to water! After my dad died, my mom stayed with me in Monterey - what a place. Later Judy & I went there for our 25th wedding anniversary.
I've worked as a mechanic in a garage and photographic studio before working for Dillons. I call myself the "skinniest carry-out boy."
I enjoy piddling. Lately I've been doing just that with Doc with the most recent experience of helping him with his auction. Now we are working on my 1930 Model-A Ford pick-up which was from Doc. Other projects that he has planned for me to do is to fix the wooden 1952 CrisCraft boat and a 1927 Model-T car which was from my sister-in-law, Eileen (her husband, Reinhart, who died of luekemia was also an antique enthusiast),besides helping Doc do some of his projects. Fixing our old house doesn't sound fun. I also enjoy helping spoil our grandchildren! |
I just received this from Doc's collection. It was purchased in 1956? and had never been used until it was given to me! |
