S SERIES 2005/06
Following on the heels of the C series, the MPG lineup for the 2005/06 season was the S series. This series started coming out in late August 2005 in Europe. Unfortunately, the new series includes many of last year’s C toys, some of which have different colours and papers however. There are also some toys with C numbers not used in the previous year. But the preponderance of recasts, especially when MPG toys are such a recent innovation, is really not a good look. Still, there were some nice-looking new sets, such as the Piramollis (a set of pirates; this is their French name) and some funky musical notes. Another highlight is a hand-painted set based on the classic children’s TV series, The Magic Roundabout.
As before, I give the names of the toys in this set as they are cited in the UK section of the Magic Kinder Web site, but also mention their German names, as the German papers are distinct from the rest in naming individual series and toys. Now scroll below to see the 2005/06 MPG toys in my collection so far.
