Thanks to Mary-Line Joudon for this rare set based on the classic children’s TV series, The Magic Roundabout. It was only issued in France. Those of you puzzled by this might be interested to know that The Magic Roundabout was not originally a British series, but a French series called Le Manège enchanté (“The Enchanted Roundabout”). So although it became a British cult hit, it is first and foremost native to France.

Although ostensibly hand-painted figurines, they are in fact very similar to Cadbury Yowie animals in their basic design and construction. They are based on the characters from the movie Ice Age 2: The Meltdown.
