Dear Mitzi,

I hear you.

I've heard that you are wrestling with issues you feel are beyond your ability to cope. I couldn't possibly know what you're going through, but I have experienced hard times of my own, and believe me, you have somewhere to go. Go to your knees.

"Pray without ceasing." (1 Thes 5:17)

Even Jesus had hard times. He prayed so earnestly and in such agony that He sweat great drops of blood. How can anyone go on with a burden so heavy?

You were on His mind as He sought strength to face crucifixion. You were what it was all about. You. And me. And everyone who believes on His name.

He loves us so much that He suffered the excruciating pain of crucifixion and the humiliation of the cross and the sorrow of rejection by the very ones He came to save. He suffered, so that we wouldn't have to.

Why do I write this during Christmas, the season we remember His birth? Because ....

. . . We should remember how much He loves us and how much He sacrificed in order that we may spent eternity together with Him.

Your friend in Christ,

Phyllis
