»What
has been the best part of 2001?
Getting on Adio, the new evolution of Planet Earth,
traveling, & buying a new home with a yard large enough for
a mini ramp. |
»You
had a big job ahead of you when you joined the Adio team to
film One Step Beyond? What was that like?
It was good to travel with Montoya, Selego, and the rest of
the team. I came in half way through the making of the video
and knew I had to take care of my business. |
»What
about the video, One Step Beyond? Who's part do you like the
best?
Everyone did their job but Danny Montoya & Ed Selego were my
favorites. Ed because I have always known his ability and
this is his first real video part to let the world know
about ED. I really like to watch Ed skate. Danny, because if
you watch his part, down to every line is amazing. Danny
really skates like no one else. |
»You
have a shoe coming out on Adio, everyone says it's really
good. Did you design it?
Yeah, I drew it from what I really liked and wanted a
classic skate shoe. I really didn't care to be different. I
just wanted something that looked good and skated really
good. |
»So
you have been the leader of the new Earth team. Where is it
going and what is next for Planet Earth?
Well I don't know about the leader, but this is the first
time it has been a strong and solid team since Now and Later
(the first Planet Earth video). We are all really close and
we skate together all the time. You will see the team
everywhere. |
»People
always say you have one of the best styles. Who do you think
has the best style?
Justin Strubing and Ed Selego. |
Who do
you see as the future of skateboarding?
Paul Rodriguez, he is really good. Brayden for sure, he is
one of my good friends from Vegas. Brayden is really good.
All the strong pros right now. Everyone keeps coming up.
|
»How
many days a week do you skate on an average?
It all depends on my health. I will skate for weeks at a
time. I really try to skate as much as possible.
|
»Any
future plans for Kenny Anderson?
Skateboarding, and a mini ramp in my back yard.
|
»Any
last words?
Thanks to all my sponsors. Adio, Earth, Elwood, Active,
Mercury, & Movement bearings. Thanks to everyone who has
ever supported my sponsors or me. Keep an open mind and have
fun. |
»How
was it going on a filming trip with Bam?
Outside of hearing "Where is Johnny Knoxville" and "Do
Jackass" it was good. It was good because I got to know Bam
a lot better. He is 24hour comedy. You never know what Bam
will do next.
»How
long have you been on Earth?
10 years!
»Wow.
How come you have never skated for another skateboard
company?
When you build a relationship with people you skate for it
becomes more personal and you get a feel for how the
business side of skateboarding works. Then you know that
there is not that thick of a line between your boss and a
friend. So to answer your question I skate for Earth because
of Chris Miller, Jeff Taylor, and Felix.
